Does anyone know what turbo all of us that snowchecked a 2012 nytro mtx are going to get, PUSH or MPI. Now that Yamaha has come out and said MPI is the authorized vender for Yamaha.

Mountain man I've seen posted on here somewhere Matt @ MPI said there is now a yamaha part number for the MPI turbo's. But I know some shop's right now that have a few of the Push turbos on the shelf. You could probably ask for either but my own two cents would tell ya to go MCX turbo's. But if you want to go thru yammi,,go with MPI, like you said they are the officail supllier of Yammi now.

That is the same thing I have been wondering too. From what I can gather - Yamaha has some Push units left and will send out those first before shipping any MPI turbos. I also thought that the turbo kits were supposed to ship with the sled though? Interesting that your sled has been at the dealer for a month now and you are waiting on the turbo kit. From what I understand MPI is building the turbo kits right now - so maybe you will end up with an MPI kit?

done rambling..... Let me know if you hear anything different or when your turbo shows up.

All the hate for MPI have you even ridden a MPI kit? Super or turbo?

I don't see any hate here. I have owned an MCX kit on a Nytro and loved it. Definitely a first rate kit. MCX has a lot of kits on the snow and it is a proven kit. MPI will have to prove itself. Not that it's a bad kit, there just needs to be more on the snow to prove themselves.

Not only this post, I'm just getting tired of hearing mcx this and mcx that I know they are GREAT kits. But when someone with another brand is having a problem or asking a question I am Sick of hearing should have gone with mcx. My two cents nothing personal.

No worries. Hope MPI's kit does well. If so, everyone wins. Just glad to see yami offering some boost from the dealers. I've always wanted to try the supercharger. Like the idea of just bolting it on and going. Bought a new Pro this year as the dealer is only five miles away vs. two hundred for anything else. Am still hoping yami comes out with a "relatively" lighter higher hp n/a sled. I know, I know, a guy can dream. LOL :face-icon-small-hap

Hey Scott1, I told him to go with MPI at the end of my post. I also tell everyone to buy a yamaha because they are the best sled out there ,,,IMO

Not my greatest post, sorry man, mpi mcx it doesn't really matter as long as it's going on a yammi!

I have a MPI stage one supercharge kit on my 08 nytro. This will be the third year with the kit. It's been great. The only problem was blowing belts. Don't know if it was from the kit or snow getting on the belt??? I was going to get an 270 MCX kit but decided to go with a Custom Turbo Kit from MPI. The reasons for going with MPI for me. 1) I know Mac and Matt from MPI. 2) I've bought supercharge kits for a rzr and nytro from them in the past (good customer service). 3) Price $3000.00 less than MCX 4) Fit on MPI is much much better than MCX (MPI makes it look like a Yamaha product) 5) MPI makes a kit with similar performance to MCX 270 kit. 6) MPI makes available the installation instruction without buy the kit. (MCX will not.) The reason I want them is to see if it's something I want to do myself and also if it requires molesting my snowmobile to install it. My two cent and maybe a nickel.

I guess after rideing the push its hard not to get it. Its been tested and proven. With 4,000 miles on one nytro with a push turbo on it in one year and no problems riding at 10,000 feet in elevation. I guess that speaks for it self... Oh wait i guess it blew one belt in april on a spring ride.
