2012 Pro running boards

Just had a friend tell me that the running boards on the 2012 Pro are or will be different than the 2011. Anyone know if this is true? If so what will the changes be?

I have heard the on the Outer Edge Rail.. When they stamp out the cleats (razor sharp 90 deg bends) This edge is going to be taller!!

The only changes that I have seen and heard of, are the extra added cleats on the outer edge of the running boards.

So basically the outside edge of the running boards wasn't shredding expensive boots fast enough so they added more teeth. :-)

Also the aluminum casting at the front of the running board rail is about twice as thick.

Yeah, it took me 2-3 rides before I filed mine down...not sure why they'd make those more aggressive.
I'm sure its due to a few people complaining about no traction..I don't really have any traction issues, even w/ the filed edges. Unless the footwell is packed w/ ice...then I slip around...go figure.

Fix ice/snow packing in the footwells Polaris, not grip edges. Thanks!
Would the manufactures just put Better Boards (or the equivlent) on these stock MOUNTAIN/DEEP SNOW sleds already..
We all know board inserts are a req. for most mountain sleds out there.

Maybe Polaris secretly invests in KLIM and HMK boots? Maybe they sell SOLES? brap brap...that one probably went past most of you!
