2012 PRO RMK 600 pricing....Polaris is very proud of this sled

This was my guess on pricing for the 2012 PRO RMK 600 back on 2-7-11

........the 2010 RMK dragon 800 155 MSRP was $10899, for 2011 the PRO RMK 155 800 was $11599. That was a $700 premium go to the PRO chassis

My guess is MSRP on 2012 600 PRO RMK 155 will be $9899.

Well Polaris thinks this 600 is made of gold...$10,499 So in one year the 600 went from $9499 to $10,499. 11% increase in one year of production. Still less money then Skidoos sleds but for me pricing themselves out of the market like the rest.

I agree, but if I could get that sled for $10.500 I would do it in a heart beat. Living in Canada, it will probably be $12.000 plus freight, plus PDI, plus tax.

I look at it more this way.

I get the same chassis, track, shocks, handlebars, brakes, jackshaft etc as the 800 PRO-RMK.... but I get a $1,000 discount for choosing the 600 motor.

Since they did not make a 600 Dragon last year... It would be more "apples to apples" to compare it to the base model 155" RMK rather than the 600 PRO-RMK with all the bells and whistles.

This is a Quantum leap in sled to compare it to last years 600 155.

From another post... something to ponder.

My thoughts on the 600:
The 600 RMK shares the same lighweight, responsive chassis of the 800 PRO RMK but with a much lighter feeling 600 engine.

Now many of you will say "If it weighs the same... why get a 600?"

I can tell you this from experience... a shorter stroke, smaller bore 600 is VERY noticeably more nimble than the longer stroke, larger bore 800... simple physics... call it "flywheel effect" or "gyroscopic effect" for lack of a more scientific description... 600's are plain easier to throw around....

With a smaller "gyro" rotating under the hood... the sled is all that much more responsive to directional changes (read... thick tree riddled maneuverability).

Sure, there are those out there that can "throw around" an 800 with no problem... even easier to do so with the 600... regardless of the rider.

I don't think it's worth it. I just bought the wife a holdover '10 XP 600 for $6400.

rode it in island park last weekend. its ok, but for that price? noooo way! the rumors of direct injection are false and they are only one pound lighter than the 800!

Wow! What model specifically?
Sport carbed version. 0 miles brand new, 2 year motor warranty, 6400 total. Read a test report and it said the sport beat the etec 600.

You can get the RMK 600 144 for $9499 or the 155 for $9999. Not at all cheap, but cheaper than the Summit 600's. All except the sport which is a carb model. If my dealer was able to get me my Pro 800 for under MSRP, then I would expect the same for the 600. If I got it at say, $9300 that isn't too bad for the 600. If $1500 savings doesn't do much for you then buy the 800.

I'm with you. I bought an 11 Etec 800 Summit for $10,685 OTD. I'll find out tomorrow if I totalled it out in Cali tomorrow. In the market for another if it is.

2012 skidoo mountain sport

A sled built for mountain riders looking for all the boondocking benefits of a light, yet strong, REV-XP chassis at a great price.

  • Engine : Rotax 600
  • Price :Starting at $7,999 US (MSRP)

Mountain horse made a reall good point! And you gotta compare apples to apples here last yr 2010 600 was 9499 and this yr the rmk 600 144 is 9499 155 9899 those sleds compare because the 144 has the old torsion spring suspension! The pro 600 is a class of it's own! Lots of guys buy 800's who don't need or really can't handle 800's the pro is the 1300 dollar cheeper sled than a pro 800 and it's got all the bells and whistles!! Great sled that can go anywhere a stock 800 could go!

That's the carbed model. I'm not suggesting it is a bad sled, but apples to apples it's not a good comparison. How much is the eTec 600?

by me there are several 2010 and 2011 sport 600s available....no one wants them hear. Most are $6500-7000

Star Valley Skidoo, sorry they're out. Been advertised on KSL for quite some time. C'mon pay attention.

Thanks. Those make great rental sleds and the price is right. I actually wish Polaris would also still put out a carb 600 and take another $1k off the price.

I won't actually be in the market for more 600's until next November.

family of 4 needs 3 600s for 30k.and a hotrod 800 for dad.so about 50k will get your family on the snow.that is nuts.

Yep, and then you have to fill them all with gas, oil, plugs, and spare belts and buy food! :face-icon-small-sho Three days ago I was $49 in just fuel for my sled alone (empty tank plus a 2.5 spare).
