2012 handle bar riser

Does it help to raise the stock handle bars or do i have to go with vert steering ? seems like a lot of people complain about loose bushings on them.

Spend your money on vertical steering.

I agree go with the vert steering- but the bushings on the 2013 totally need's attention.
I constantally am having to push the plastic upper back down into place

Did you make sure it was locked in the notch correctly?

I also never-seized mine

Just put vertical steering kit in my 12. Can the stock riser still fit or do you have to use this short one that comes with kit? Not near sled now but when I put it in it seemed low. Had the 8.5" riser in the trail steering set up.

I believe the throttle/brake cables are too short to use the stock horizontal riser on the vertical post kit. I'm 6'0 and I like the height of the stock vertical post kit compared to the horizontal but I don't like really high bars. Personal preference

I just installed a 5.5 inch riser on my vert steering on my 2013. That is as high as you can go on stock cables and lines.

Yep- it can only in there one way but it works it way up the shaft when boondocking.... it sure needs attention as it has side/side movement.
