2012 Assault Graphics-what were they thinking?

I'm starting to think the masses would be smart to wrap every sled that you buy. Then who cares what Polaris does with graphics and colors. The sleds flat out rock! Sure makes em look nice when you peel it off to sell versus a worn and scratched sled. Plus there is huge snow removal and therefore performance gains by having a mtn sled vinyled up. Don't even know what a wrap would cost you guys but say $400ish has to pay for itself in resale..performance gains are then free? Think on it

mmmm wait...what would we have to complain about? never mind

Well said, Rob. Personally I think you should be able to order a sled much like you can order a new truck. Pick your base model for x amount of dollars. Then start adding options of your choice for additional money. That way you have a sled that is custom to what you want.

For example:
You could start with a Pro RMK 155. Then pick your color of side panels and hood from about 6 different colors. Pick which track you want. Suspension upgrades. Turbo or no turbo. Then pick from a list of accessory options including your choice of many different graphic options. Polaris could even sub out some of the options such as the graphics, turbo, bumpers etc. That way everybody gets what they want. The cost for Polaris to do this should be offset by the fact that they would sell more sleds. They are getting closer to this every year, but not quit there yet.

Agreed for what we spend on these machines we should be able to do this but then what would we look fore ward to every march. :D Here is where i have to disagree with you. poo or any other manufacturer will never offer a factory turbo on a two stroke sled even if they did it wouldn't have warranty.

I was thinking the same, if you opted for the turbo, you voided your warranty, plain and simple.

Not sure what they were thinking with those. They are seriously making me consider an RMK or finding an '11. Actually I found an '11 but they dealer wants $12,000 out the door with a 2" track mounted. So I don't see that working too well.

Just curious, has anyone confirmed that you actually get two sets of side panels or is it just a different set????

This would be a great if you could "build a sled". BUT I think, correct me if im worng but, if polaris or any brand did this the sleds would be extremely expensive! The cost of having to take all these orders then change up the assembly line for a different color or suspension or engine option, along with mass production for those who just wanna buy one off the show room floor, would slow production and increase costs. In turn increasing the bottom dollar price. And with the economy/gas prices where they are now, the people that are riding are the ones that can afford it and i dont think buy having custom sleds they would really increase sales by a large enough margin to offset a large price spike, souly based on the fact that there is a limited number of people willing to spend so much for recreation. Dont get me wrong i would like to see this option as much as the next guy and im gonna buy one just the same cause there is nothing like the rush of flyin through the pow in mnts and trees. Just sayin IMO the sleds are pretty top notch, and with so many options and addons for a sled no matter what you buy you are still gonna tinker in the garage!

I guess I will just have to wait until April 4th in Spokane to see what they look like in person.
