Is it really that hard to wear it, really? I have no sympathy for people who get killed because they weren't wearing thier seat belt.

When we're in the bush we just do up the seatbelts and sit on top of them. I like the idea of an extra buckle.

My H&S Mini Max tuner lets me disable mine plus a lot of other cool stuff:face-icon-small-coo. Maybe a plug and play tuner would let you do the same plus add a little hp for you. Lots of inexpensive options out there for tuners these days for gassers.

how much are the tuners?

I have a Honda Ridgeline, but it may work for you. I opened up the seat belt housing, and looked at the mechanism. On my truck when the seat belt goes into the housing, it depresses a "plunger" stopping the beeping. So I took a tiny zip-tie and wrapped it around the plunger. Now my truck thinks I am buckled at all times.
I need to do it to my passenger seat as well. When I put a gallon jug of water on the passenger seat, it is enough weight to make the truck think I have a passenger and the alrm starts going off.

I have a 2010 tundra. I disabled the beeper by pulling the bottom assembly out of the seat belt housing and removing the plunger spring. Removing the spring lets the plunger sit at the bottom, which is the same spot it is when the buckle is installed and therefore closes the circuit and won't "ding" anymore. Much better option than the extra buckle since it does not interfere with buckling up compared to having an extra buckle plugged in. I re-installed the return spring in the passenger seat since it messed with the passenger side airbag turn off option.

You also don't need to get an extra buckle from a junkyard. Guys make them using a DVD case, tracing their existing buckle, and cutting it out of the case plastic.

Both methods found and discussed at length on tundrasolutions.com
