2011 Ski-Doos Released on DooTalk

well, i think its going to be hard to compete with polaris as far as excitement for new sleds. Its not every day a manufacturer comes out and says they not only fixed last years problems, came out with a new look that is stronger AND is 30pounds lighter.

And as you can tell I'm praying the new polarises aren't duds :P

Now I'm not bashin the M, I loved ridin the old M7, flickable...

but,

If you're not moving forward, you're standing still, and if you're standing still, you'll never be in the lead......

just sayin.....

They could easily improve on the M....
good sled nontheless..

They are hardly standing still.. look at the improvement on the m8 from '08-'09-'10. They took something that wasn't really stellar to kick butt power while making it even lighter.

I'm not saying you guys are bashing the m's, just getting tired of whining about a "seven year old chassis."

Is it just me that doesn't want to be any more forward on their sled? It seems to me that like the xp, while you have a ton of rider leverage on the sled- it also has a bunch of leverage on you. Just like the higher you raise your bars the more leverage you gain- but then it also has more leverage against you. I prefer to ride my sled not wrestle with it. :face-icon-small-win

Scott, you think they are that much better? Just curious, it might be that fact that my husband's '10 m8 isn't set up for my weight but I really didn't feel that is was that far off from my m7 as far as ride quality? (granted of course my sled is set up for me and isn't bone stock)

Not brand bashing here ether, I've had everything but a polaris and if the new pro ride end up being reliable with the new 800 and the lightened crank, not too rider forward, and have over 155 hp, I wouldn't mind one in a few years. :biggrin1:

I rode my buddies m7 up at Lolo on New Years day...what year was that chassis brand new? 2005 or 06? I wasn't happy with it on the trail...LOL Didn't like it at all. Ouch.

I rode the 2010's in the 800 SW Deep Powder 800 Challenge...and liked the m8 a LOT. A LOT!!!!

in respect to stock engines, the 2010 M8 is out front....ride with one that is clutched:face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-ton

now back to the topic, a 2.5 lug is killer news!!!....hells yes!

haha

I'm not sayin the M is not a good sled. Almost bought an M1000 last year.
Might buy one next year, we'll see..
I am no brand loyalist at all, never will be.

But yes they need to change a few things.
And they have the ability to do it, so???

I don't think there is a 2.5" lug, site says still 2.25"?????
