You can buy replacement reed pedals I believe boyesen makes them I could be wrong on that but I had the option but for the money I just replaced with stock reeds they weren't even to bad on price since I got a discount.
I have very similar problem that developed at the end of last season. I have to get my sled out of mouth balls and get to work. I cleaned my reeds last year and they look good also replaced my fuel filter last summer but I guess I will have to go back through everything. Hope you figure it out and will let you know what I find.
