2011 Pro Rmk tailight delete

No tail light... Dangerous IMO... don't do it.

Headlight... Yes and no... you will need a 2 ohm 50 watt aluminum heat sink style resistor attached to the chassis to do it correctly... Some have been succsesful.. others have not if not using the resistor... No one has had a problem running a resistor... more reliable... other than the headlights, the grip warmers are the only thing on that circuit...unless you have a blow hole or intercooler fan on the AC side of the circuit.

Easy .. just sub in the resistor for the headlight.

I'm curious to know what you think you would gain without a taillight?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think it's a stupid idea to remove it completely. It's there for others as much as it is for you.

You may not ride in the dark, but fog and snow dust create the same effect

I've also seen the effects of having no tail light hospitalize a good buddy, and have picked up the pieces of the wreck. I dont advise this

Well if that's your attitude, see if that silber turbo makes your hospital bed any faster. And no that is not a threat.

What I'm saying is you may control what your sled does, but not what the idiot or inexperienced rider behind you is doing

No lights

Important when riding in closed area's.

Not that i've ever done that.

Seen some lights before in some ski areas.
Jes sayin

Just unplug it the connector is in front of the fuel tank, drill some rivets and remove it, I have over 2,000 miles on two pros with no headlight are tailight.

jdizzle

Good idea im going to give that try. I use the underseat bag so not sure if it will fit.
Thanks

You say to have a resistor on the light (AC) circuit. If you remove the lights.
The hand warmers are also on this circuit.
So if the hand warmers remained on all the time. Is the resistor needed ?

I've never used a resistor but I do keep the handwarmers on at all times. Over 2,000 miles trouble free so far between my 12 and 13 model. Knock on wood:face-icon-small-ton

Make sense to me.
The hand warmers and lights on same circuit.
My hand warmers are always on as well.
So I shouldn't need the resistor.
One way to find out
Thanks for the comments
