Thinking of picking up a 2011 600 rmk, how does it compare to an 03 700 vertical edge 151 power wise? The 700 has a single pipe and some other small mods. I realize that the 2011 chassis is way better but in the powder and on a hill how do ya think they would compare.

someone else correct me if im wrong but the 2011 600 rmk isn't the pro-chassis, only the 2012s are.

i don't know anything about how they ride though, sorry.

There were a few late season build 600's rolling around last year.
Still think the IQ 600 would be better than the VE 700, if the 6 is in the PRO then not a question it's better than the 7...

if its the iq 600 you will find your self lacking on top end power compaired to the 700 but if you ride in the trees your gonna love it it makes just as much feelable power as the 700 but dose not have the same tourqe feel as the 700. that being said short pulls you can run with the big (stock) boys. dont want to anger anyone on here. as far as chassis gose you cant compare them its like riding a scoup shovel then jumping on a farrarie.

I rode a 2010 RMK 600 a year ago, and it was the biggest POS I have ridden for quite some time. Granted, it was a rental that another rider in our group had. He was stuck all the time and couldn't climb to save his biscuits. He had limited mountain experience, so I blamed it on him initially. I traded sleds with him for 10 minutes or so, and I could not believe how underpowered it was, and how crappy it handled. Spend the extra money and get a Pro. They are the deal.

There is a big a difference in quality of off trail handling and performance on the IQ RAW 600 compared to the Edge 700 as there is from the RAW to the PRO.

It really depends on clutching setup and there is a huge performance advantage to a trimmed 5.1 155 on medium to low hp buggies.

You really can't compare a PRO to the 600 IQ RAW not only are they not in the same performance catagory the PRO costs about $3000-$4000 more! Keep going if you are talking new.

Properly setup the 155 600 rmk iq raw can be a very very respectable machine. Trim the track and clutch it for the conditions...it will eat the edge 700 for lunch all day every day plus be half as much effort to ride.
