2011 - 2012 Coquihalla Conditions

4 of us went to the back side of 10 k on saturday. awesome day, nice powder... lots of people buzzing around. it was snowing so visabilty wasnt that great. But in the trees was fun

great way to spend a saturday.

Saturday was a great day besides buddy's tps sensor and I bent my steering post. Lots of good snow superbowl hot spots were really tracked up. Does anyone know how to turn off my sleds tree magnet haha

We were up this weekend and asked what our $20 was going towards. When the gentleman gave us the talk of "volunteer" groomer time I decided to go ahead and buy a season pass. We may or may not (I HOPE WE DO, what a fun area) be back this season... but it appears that the club needs all the help they can get in the time and $$ departments. Every little bit helps, I hope.

Atleast it is an area that you can get off and play pretty quickly up the trail! So fun!

Snow bikers riding in Mission????

Hey i saw 2 snow bikers acting like real idiots terrorizing our friendly streets in Mission today. Im pretty sure these are the same 2 guys that were so ignorant 2 weeks ago at the coq..... anyone have a description of what these 2 guys look like other than being "snow bikers"???

2 feet of fresh Saturday avalanche forecast was moderate but we had set off 5 or more slides that day all very light loose snow sitting ontop of a crust had one bust A arm in the group for the day little carnage

Another DEEP saturday visibility was alright it was snowing all day found chest deep powder in non wind affected areas.. I HAVE FOUND AVY BEACON AT HENNING CABIN we were the last guys off the mountain message me info if this is your beacon

went to 10 k on sunday 3 of us dropped in past the cabin. ran into maybe 5 other sleds all day.

snow was set up quite hard. I was expecting much different conditions.

once into the trees it was easy to get stuck on the flat if one wasn't careful.

It snowed all day, but overall an awesome day.

Came accross the grader working on the road. So yes, the road is still open to traffic, and there are not many spots to ride beside the road, Most in on the road riding.

well We were the first sleds into 10k yesterday. powder on the trail in, tons of powder at the first bowl (baby bowl I think) then we dropped in past the cabin

WOW... you know there is a lot of fresh snow, when you have to stop to clear snow from your goggles every 300 feet. and when powder in the face becomes a choking hazard Sled stalled once due to the fact it was buried in powder.

visibility was very bad sometimes. even in the trees. Wind was howling.

but other than that. The best day of riding I have ever had.

Went up to henning today and it was raining at the parking lot but it changed half way up the hill. The snow was deep but super heavy it was a wet day

Went to henning, yesterday.. Should have gone to 10k.... nice day overall, sunny, warm, 6 inches of fresh. about 6 trucks in the parking lot. way better then work

The weekend didn't have any fresh hero snow but the skies were bluebird. I had took the AST1 avalanche course instructed by Niko Weis and had a great time he is a great instructor and is very knowledgeable I would highly recommend taking one of his courses if you have not already. I also wanna shout out to our awesome groomer operators that provided us with buttery smooth trails this weekend

If you have a truck and deck you can unload at 8km take the road to tullameen for 2.3km turn right and follow groomed trail to 10k turn off and ride a groomed trail into 10k. This will eliminate travelling on road

Nice ride yesterday left the parking lot beside the hut, went past the lakes up the face and into 10k. Back around to 22k the down and across to murphy lakes (a little slushy) then found the trail from the end of the valley and popped out at the base of henning superbowl. That was a first for me and the snow was Quite nice and a lot of it
