Coquihalla 2012/2013

went up yesterday, after the big snow fall. only 2 tracks into henning.
lots of fresh snow, however there isnt much of a base so there were a few stucks.

Peanut bowl had some rocks still exsposed near the top, but the three of us never made contact with anything.

headed towards the spearing bowl but wifes sled had some clutching issues so we turned around and headed for home.

Lots of powder over the hoods and winsheilds. A very good ride for the first of the eason

LOST CAMERA

Lost go pro on pipe line trail near Henning trail head , if found send pm, or call 604 202 4544.

yup..thats a good dump..All roads closed near there is a good sign of lots of snow.. Gonna be fun times.

Any body going up who wouldn't mind if I tagged along??? Looks like my riding buddy could be working on his sled this weekend. I've got all the avi gear, and I'm self sufficient. Would be great to get out and see another riding area.

We rode Deer Mtn./Lodestone area between Coquihalla and Tulameen on Jan. 18th and it wasn't the greatest. Snow was really windblown and hard in a lot of places and lacking snow. Lots of stumps still showing or barely covered. Pray for snow. -7 in the valley at Tulameen and around 0 degrees up top.

Does the snowpack up around the coke have that same weak layer in it that is affecting the sea to sky area now?

The sea to sky corridor is too high risk for me right now.

Was riding the coq on Saturday and triggered many small slides and this big one. Nobody buried but even the smallest slopes are sliding, be careful out there!
