2010 side panel bolt

Anyone else notice that there's a different set-up on the lower side panel down by the footwells? Anyway, it's a torx head, not a slip pin like it used to be, and there's no way to get anything from the tool kit in there to get it out. Maybe my tool kit is missing something but if you were out in the middle of nowhere and blew a belt your not getting that side panel off without a small torx head on a ratchet or an L shaped torx.

It hinges on that, after you pull the pin out you can swing the entire side panel back on that torx bolt "hinge". This is my first cat, I thought It was goofy too, I put side vents on mine and luckily had a small torx bit that I used in a 1/4" socket to take it out since I dont have any stubby torx drivers.

2010 is my first cat, but doesnt the side panel flip all the way around.. to the ground. Should be out of the way???

They had the same setup on the 09 sleds. There is no need to take the panel all the way off unless you are changing them. The panel will flip back out of the way.

It works much better than the older ones imo. No reason to take them off unless you are replacing them or putting side vents on.

yep, same as 2009, just rotate it back out of the way, I have never taken mine off
