2010 Seats

I'm looking to upgrade the seat on my M8. I like the look of the 2010 seats, but am concerned that it will be too high. As a short rider(5'5), would l be better off with the 2010 seat or a Boss flat top that is only 1.5 inches taller than stock? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You guys use the seats to sit on?? Mine is only there to store stuff that doesn't fit in my backpack.

During summer, I like to sit on my sled and make engine noises. In fact it was just last week that I noticed the seat height difference when trying to tandem between my sled and my fathers sled which has the 200# foam.

I'm only 5'6" and I had a BOSS highrise on my old 03 RMK and it was perfect. Not a whole lot of difference between standing and sitting, which is nice!

Pictures from you that already have mounted the 2010 seat...What does the kit include?

Called the dealer on thursday, they now say ot is on back order with no date on it. Going to have to call back on Monday to see what is going on.

I was told friday they still have a date of 8/12. I am not holding my breath.

I don't know, I weigh 175# and put 180# for weight when I ordered my boss seat. They sent it out with soft foam. It is much taller than the stocker, but when I sit on it, I'm maybe 1" higher than my stock seat. I like the harder seat from the snocheck sled a little better as I sit higher.

Mine is setup for 180 pound rider and mine barely has any sag when I sit on it. I weigh 165 pounds. I wish mine was a little softer.

Called dealer this morning. They said it was on back order till the 10th (today), it should ship today will be here in a couple of days I hope.

2010 seats

they use the two studs that hold the gas tank to the tunnel, no quick release! I don't understand why people complaign about there low seats and now complaign about the raised seats, there will be some pretty cheap older seats laying around for the short guys to buy!

Ive got a few on backorder - tenative release date from Cat is at the end of this month, so we should all have them (hopefully) before the 15th of September!
