here is the set up i went with.
09 m8 sp 153
2010 seat
vortech rack
2 holz 2.5 gal cans ( will hold 4 of them )
skins tunnel bag
didn't like the look after all said and done, felt the rear bumper was too short
and so i swaped it w/ the VE rear bumper.....i like it now:D:D

looks awesome. love the VE!
my only issue with jerry cans last year was i jump around alot in my sled. i would kick the jerry can quite a bit. well i ended up kickin the twist cap...loosening it...spilling fuel all over the tunnel. i use to run the cat boss seat.....see where i am going?
the boss seats velcro strips that are glued to the tunnel......dont like gasoline much. by the end of the day my seat was fallin off....no kiddin. i figure i have all the bases covered with this set-up. no chance of the cap becoming loose. the straps hold good and for extra measure you electrical tape the ratchet part (2 loops max) so it doesnt let go leaving you without a can. i buddy of mine has yet to loose a can with a little tape. you cant even see it due to it being black so its all good. he rides a bit like me so know it will hold up!

ps. where did you get the VE extension and what did it run you? lokks deadly!

Sled looks good, which can is that? how much for the green side panels? did you get the front a arms from west coast sleds?

I have been running the Mountian Addiction set up for 5 years now. Not only do they look awesome they hold up incredibly well too. I have never heard of anyone breaking the rails, I call bs on that one. I have rolled my sled several times, and if a can did come off I just put it back on. All you have to do is make sure they line up perfectly with the rails. I'm hearing that they are coming out with a new can setup that is just one can that holds 3.5 gal, and is going to be low profile. Can't wait to get my hands on one of those. I have had great service from my setup. I have been running them probably longer than anyone. My 2 cents......

I have this same one on my sled. Works really good. Only thing I don't like about it is. If you take it off to make a couple pulls up a hill and come back and want to put the can back on. The snow will compact down in the little holes in the base and you will have to dig it out to get it to hook. But it is very nice otherwise.

I solve the snow problem by never taking mine off. I know what you're talking about though. I really enjoy the security of knowing it's not coming off though and can just keep going all day without having to go back and get my can at the end of the day.

As for the size, I've never really needed the extra volume, It's just for peace of mind. Any hard riding days it's usually getting dark by the time I would even need to begin worrying about my gas.
