Polaris Dropped the 700 Dragon 155 ( great sled ) then brought back a watered down version the RMK at the last second this year. They are still battling Fuel injector EPA issues ( 800 Dragon Piston burners) .
I wish the would stay with something that works so they could get the reputation back. 07 700 Dragon.

What kind of idiots work for this company ?

Comments I asure I will get some.

Keeping the 700 in the lineup was a smart move IMHO.

My "little" 700 does just fine. I have an aftermarket head and can and I don't have any problems keeping up with the other guys. I think it's a nice smooth motor.

finally they made a good decision. when i found out that they were dropping the 700 line up i was astonished. one of the worst decisions polaris could make. might as well throw a 700 from a 1998 sled into the new ones, bullet proof motors. too bad the 800s had issues in that gen.

its probably its last year if they get the 800 working........they should have had it go out with a bang and had a dragon once again in a special color like sunburst metallic......with WE needles not the airs.........

I agree, my 08 700 Dragon is just about bulletproof. The best "pull and go" sled I've ever owned. Never going to pull the high mark. (except by pure luck) But it will take me anywhere I have the the stones to go.
I'm glad cooler heads prevailed at least for this year.

Now if I could just find a cheap pump gas turbo.....

I think there the best sled Polaris has made since the Gen2 700's. That's a long, long time ago.

From a a business stand point they made a good decision by not discontinuing the 700 as they planned... With the 800 still unproven going into its third year, they would not be offering a proven reliable mountain sled... a huge mistake...

i ride with a buddy with a 700 and its a great sled--not a 800 but its no slouch--our doo dealer just took on Polaris so when i'm shopping for a new sled we have a great dealer in our area---thats why i went to doo in 2004--700's still have a place in the market IMO:D

The polaris cfi 700 is an over achiever. Kind of like the M7 when it debuted. The polaris is a astonishing motor that can take all sorts of punishing along with a ton of mods. If I were to buy a new one it would be the 7 for the durability and power.

got an 07 700 with 4373 miles and it runs like day 1! has no problems and is amazing. i was sad when polaris said they werent makin them anymore but it sure was a good decision on their part to bring it back.

Any idea on how many units will be made? My understanding is the dealers didn't know about these 700's when they made their spring orders. I'm kind of hoping they go on sale next spring to minimize inventory for the summer.

VB

700 is a great motor. extremely durable, good on fuel, and no belt problems.
has anyone here blown a belt on one of these? i've tried really hard with no success.
i did manage to snap the crank on my 08 but i'm probably the only person to do that.
