2010 m8 what oil to run

Damn Dave! I can't take my eyes off your avtar!

I have used Torco, Klotz, Arctic APV and Blue Marble and Amsoil in the past few years. Even though I have read a few less than glowing remarks about it, the Blue marble Made the most difference in the running quality of the engines. Yes, my RPMs came up too. They came up big time on my wife's Phazer 500.

I am now very interested in the new Legend and Redline oils as well (because I haven't tried them yet) but, like I mentioned above, I have nothing but good things to say about my results using Blue Marble oil and it will be tough for me to switch from something that works so well.

I have used Amsoil for a long time and when I compared my power valves on my old king cat they looked almost brand new compared to my buddies of one year newer. I now have an '09 m8 with major mods and i will continue using the Amsoil Interceptor. It also has a pour point down to -54 deg C, and also surpasses every other major oil in wear tests and whatever other test that is performed. I am now an amsoil dealer.

so the question I have yet to see asked or answered is who is making AC apv for cat? There is a good chance it is the same as other oils just labeled differently.

I was going to ask the same thing. Their oil came from somewhere else, that much is for sure.

Anyway, I have always ran Amsoil forever. I changed to a different type Amsoil since my 09. For my 09 I started with Interceptor and for my 10' I will keep using Interceptor as well.

Huh..........maybe I'll just stick with Blue Marble too? I already have it in my shop and like you guys said. I also have had no issues with it.

It's really tough to decided on the "best" oil when there are so many good oils out there.

just a note, if you are running amsoil interceptor and do a bunch of high hp mods then you should think about running the dominator as it is made for higher hp motors. You can also purchase amsoil right over the net as well and have it shipped right to your door for wholesale cost if you would like.
Thanks

When I get my 10' M8, I'm runnin Redline in it. I've had nothing but great luck with Redline oils.

I used to use their products in my Subaru STi when I SCCA raced. Never had a lick of trouble lubrication related in that car, used for over 7,000 track miles / race days.

Their tranny fluid was awesome, their diff fluids worked wonders... and made the car actually handle BETTER.... I love their products.

If you're like my riding partner and I, we both go halfsies on our purchases of fluids since we both ride cats. So, the cost isn't too bad if you have a good supplier.

That, and when burned... it smells delicious. I'm not gunna lie. :beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;

Ok I have to ask. How does an oil make a car handle better???

I just read the manual and it states: "The recommended oil to use in the oil-injection system is Arctic Cat Synthetic APV 2-Cycle Oil. This oil is specially formulated to be used either as an injection oil or as a pre-mix oil (for break-in) and meets all of the lubrication requirements of the Arctic Cat snowmobile engine."

It CAUTIONS "Any oil used in place of the recommended oil could cause serious engine damage."

It says nothing about voiding warranty. Like most on here agree, the Magnuson-Moss Act basically says that a dealer or manufacturer cannot void or charge for a warranty service based on use of aftermarket products unless a failure is a DIRECT result of use of the aftermarket product. It also requires them to provide proof.
