2010 Ford F150 or 2010 GMC 1500

I have to say gmc and chevy combined currently is still behind the ford and if you want a truck that is owned by OBAMA you can Have It!
Ford has been the best selling truck ford 33 Straight Years Not GM!

I actually think it is GM. Combine the Chevy brand along with the GMC brand and they sell more or have in some of those 33 years. Something the Ford commercials don't tell you.

We have always had better luck with gm. That's why we own 9. I love my 09 5.3 the only thing i recommend is air bags. The suspension is a little soft for hauling.

Hey, I have an 09 Suburban. The rear does sag a little when I hook up my 7x27 inline trailer full of sleds and gear. How do these air bags work? I would like to add something stiffer for when hauling but not be stiffer when not hauling.

There are so many different bags out there and set ups. Some have on board air and some you just Manuel inflate like a tire. I haven't gotten mine yet but i'm just doing the standard bag and i will run them air less when not hauling or towing. I am pretty sure les schwab and other tire company's can set you up.

I'm sorry but this is just plain FALSE information!

Yes True for light duty, however not for the whole picture. And the Heavy Duty isn't even a comparison unless you want to compare dodge and GM

great choice going with Ford! I loved our 98 Ford expedition, only thing is it had quite a few probelms(it towed a heavy load 300miles each way, 4-5times a year) Like when it shot a spark plug out and it messed up the fuel rail. But that said, other than that and a new O2 sensor it hasn't needed anything else in over 150k+ miles.

We just bought a 97 chevy suburban with 40k miles so I guess we'll see how it does towing this year.

The spark plug issue is serious. I have a gallon can full of plugs and broken coils from customers 5.4s and 6.8s. Seen it from as low as 30000 to 250,000 just a design flaw. Sometimes you can fix it on without pulling the head sometimes not. Ford has a TSB on it. That is why I didnt get a ford for my wife. The rest of it seems good. The chev is great for a cruiser but only 15.5 with the 6.2 with 403 hp and always shifting on hills with the 6 speed.

Wow GM sells way more in the half ton segment. They are ahead of ford mor than I thought they would be. All your info shows is year to date. So I am still not sure I gave false information. The post was referring to Ford selling more trucks over the last 30 years than Chevy. And I said if you combine Chevy and GMC there were probably a few years where ford did not sell more.

GM all the way

I have a 1995 gm stepside short box. upgraded the engine to a 383 stroker high torque. It pulls my toy hauler with no problem. Also gets great gas milage when not pulling. The truck is sound and very reliable. It gets 10 plus miles to the gallon when pulling. I don't see any older fords or dodges doing this unless they are diesel.

i thought they got rid of the 5.3 now. went to a new 6.0 version in the 1500. buddy of mines dad has one and hates the mileage it gets. but have no exp with em, i couldnt part with my duramax unless it was a cummins in my chevy.
