What was changed on the 11s compared to the 10s.Is it a whole new engine design .Just wondering why they are fewer problems compared to the 09 thur the 10s.

I think there is alot more to it than I know but a couple things are went from 4 injectors to 2, lowered the ports a bit, I believe the head has the same compression as the 10 update but not sure, and the fuel rail is way bigger than the CFI-4...

Thanks WyoPro .I was wondering if it would be cost effective to change the older 800 to the new style engine?

I think the PC V fuel controller for the older 800 would be money "better" spend IMO. They are very easy to install and seemed that inaccurate fuel mapping was the cause for a lot of the problems with the older 800 (combined with non-consistant exhaust valve openings). Jim at Dynotech Research has some maps available for the PCV that added fuel to the lean midrange, and cut fuel on top for some added power.

I think that the stator is different also along with the mag end of the crank. New vr setup. Different ecu(2 inj vs 4 inj)

I think that's it?

Motor mounts are completely different. Motors are really quite differenent. Different ECU, voltage regulators and injectors. I heard the 2011 electronics are "more advanced" as well.

I am really glad to here that they are doing well and not too many problems.I was getting ready to jump ship with what I have seen on here for the 08 to the 10s.

Beamslayer, I have never heard the term "Cost Effective" used for snowmobiles.... lmfao...... That must be one of those oxy-morons.....:face-icon-small-hap

Sorry lost my head there for awhile. I took on another day of work just so I can afford to ride.
