2010 Eagle Valley Snow Drags

Come on guys, come out and have fun and support a good cause:) If you don't make it to the race, maybe you could still make a donation to them. Its just saturday - Super Bowl Sunday will forever be one of the best riding days - always seems to get fresh snow and nobody ventures out to play:)

I'll be there - racing my old '03 Rev with 2.5" paddles, same one I run in the mountains that manages to get me around places. But since I know there is a chance I'll get my butt handed to me, I'll start my excuses as well:) This might be the funnest part of the weekend. Should be a prize for the best 'excuse'!

"I should have had the 3" paddle instead of the 2.5"

"I needed to put a sandbag on the back because I couldn't get any traction with my skinny azz"

"My set-up is only good for short climbs like loading on my dang tilt trailer"

I'm sure I'll think of some more by race day.

-"Decals are too heavy, couldn't get 'er up to speed" :)

Good excuses Wes. But what excuse do you use if your gut is slowing you down once you get up to speed?

Should be a good time. You don't have to win to enjoy the event (trust me!).

It's getting better! We have awesome door prizes from SnowBigDeal and BetterBoards! So even if you loose your races you still could win some cool stuff worth more than your entry fees.

We have lodging available at $59.99 (a steal in the winter!) at the Silver Leaf and AmeriInn in Eagle. Let them know you are with the Snow Drags event to get the price.

Track has been groomed and should be set up well by Friday/Saturday. Looks like we will have sunny weather.

Good turn out! We had some great racing yesturday. Those that didn't make it, missed out. The unlimited class was great to watch. The turbos screamed like you expected and the Felker all motor sled gave them a run for all they could handle.

Wish I were there... Darn

How does a 800 cc sled... non Turbo,, non Nitrous, single pipe,,, almost beat a fire breathing Titanium Turbo.. I think he is hiding a turbo under the seat...

That's obviously a rhetorical question. The Felker sleds were impressive as always (I really liked the 600). I will say that the drop in distance from 660 to 550 helped the NA sleds because the turbos didn't get up to potential speeds. Still fun to see a NA sled run that good against a turbo. There was also a turbo Dragon that is a fast sled but not good in drags. He had the stock track and it spun twice as fast as the sled was moving the whole 550. Good turnout and great event, thanks to everyone who came. I'll update the winners on our website including the group of people that donated their winnings (Felker, Kanakis', Hand's, etc).

We Had a blast yesterday thanks to everybody who helped to put this on just wished we didn't have trouble with or Merc how about Jill jumping on the vintage Yami and blasting down the track and never even taking it for a test ride great time thanks

Here's a couple...I'll have more on my camera and I'll get them posted.

How bout 'Wild Bill'? How'd he do? I know he has surprised and pissed off some people in the past.

Pitkin Bill Harmon, the creator of the original snow jack. Might not be able to recognize him at the drags cause I believe they started making him wear a helmet, and put a seat on his sled!

Now I heard Bill was dq'd for running a polaris track on his ski doo. He was protested after beating someone..... by 4 sled lengths. Just what I heard.

Yep, he was d'qd. I talked to him before he came to the event and told him stock was stock with exception of "mild" venting and aftermarket can. We even gave some exceptions like front shocks, headlight delete, etc so that more mountain riders could run stock. I told him he had to have a seat by the rules. He questioned it and we showed him in the ISR rules. He didn't have a headlight delete kit (like the pics in this thread) but flat out didn't even have the assembly on. He ran a Polaris Assault track and we told everyone at the beginning that if you lied about your setup you would be d'qd. He even has his running boards cut out.

I know he didn't pull four sled lengths on the sleds in that class. I'm not sure anyone lost by four sled lengths in the competitive classes.

It's too bad, he seems like a nice guy and we don't want to turn anyone away from the event, but you have to have some ground rules to make it right.
