Anyone planning on getting one? I have been looking into upgrading trucks for a while now. I have been driving a nissan Titian for a few years which has done great, but it seems I am always limited on what I can pull or how much I can carry. I would like to get a sled deck so my half ton won't cut it anymore, Whenever we go to little ski towns and such there is never anywhere to park with a trailer, also a sled deck makes it much harder to steal your stuff. In the summer I pull a car hauler with a jeep on it, while that does not exceed my tow limits of the titan, it seems hard on the tranny going over passes. I was going to get an 09 with all the good rebates right now, but I am thinking it might just be better to hold off and get the 2010 if it is only going to cost a little more. Will most likely end up going through Dave Smith in Kellog Idaho, any thoughts?

I have a Titan also and am looking at doing the exact same thing. Just waiting to test drive one and see if can make the payments work. I heard the interior was designed by Nissan and they helped with the suspension.

If you go through Dave smiths use Rob Ross for a salesman. Tell him Chris Sawyer sent ya in. I work right down the road form Dave Smiths and Rob and my dad are good friends. I've bought 5 cars from him and he's great to deal with

Smiths number 208-784-1298 or 1-900-635-8000
His extension is 1317

I got rid of my 07 GMC 3500 DRW D-Max for an 08 Dodge 4dr shortbed I would have gotten an 09 but the news is that the anything made after March of 09 has a locked ECM so any changes to the OS will lockup your truck, so you better be happy with it stock. Aside from that I love my 6.7, it gets good mileage and has had no issues, rides like a truck but I am also running 37's on it and it still pulls great and gets good mileage, but it does have some stuff done to it.

i have a 08 dodge right now with only 9000km on it and i have one ordered, mine is a 3500 cc laramie with every option msrp is 72g cad,:eek: glad i work there:D my next to new 08 will be for sale soon aswell, just got news though we wont be seeing the 10 truck models till approx jan-feb. mine has been ordered for 1 month now and is still in d1 status [means it has a serial number and is scheduled for build] but its been in that status for 3 weeks. glad i really dont care since i have a perfectly new truck now:beer;

Yo Ak,

I finally test drove a fully loaded 2500 diesel, crew cab, short box. It is an awesome truck and I definitely want one! However, the pricing is pretty high right now. I need to wait until there are some incentives.

The truck rides and handles a lot better than the older ones, and drives great for a hd diesel with a solid front axle.

BTW, I checked with Dave Smiths on pricing because everyone says they are the best but they were higher than my local dealer.

Dave Smiths is definatly the way to go. Not sure how they can be higher. They only make $200 off each vehicle or something stupid low like that. But when you sell like 1000 a month makes it worth it. And yeah the ECMS will be locked so the only programmer you can use is the EDGE

Drove one tonight. Fully loaded laramie. Loved the heated steering wheel. This will be my next truck, but they need some rebates first. Sticker was $55,000

H&S is pretty close to cracking the locked ECM issues. you could still run the Edge Race programmer until then though.

Ya, I was surprised to find Dave Smiths was a grand higher then my local dealer plus I would have a couple hundred in traveling expenses. In this economy other dealers are becoming more competitive. Maybe I will give Sawyers contact a try.

I agree the fully loaded laramie is awesome. One dealer quoted me $47k for it but I still need some rebates or just 0% financing would work.

dodge still does not have the egr figured out on the 6.7....they soot-up the turbos big time....they have some significant operating restrictions-NO idle time....my 6.7 turbo lasted 4 months, dodge replaced it, but had no fix for the basic problem of keeping it from happening again....mine was an 09 made in march, so the ecu is a locked version....but it begs the point, i should be able to buy a truck, leave it stock, and have it be dependable....they're not there yet....

Are you using the exhaust brake all the time? or only when hauling something heavy?

yup if you leave them stock you must run the exaust brake all the time,i never had a issue with mine then all the junk fell off it works really well now.:D

Thats good to know, I would really like one, but may have to wait another year until some good rebates come out.
