2010 Crossfire 800 keeps blowing belts

Just got a 2010 Crossfire 800 Sno Pro absolutely love the sled but... I keep blowing belts. I have less than 400 miles and have already blew 2 belts. The first 100 miles i took it easy to break in the sled and as soon as i started getting on it about 170 miles boom goes the belt. Put new one on $160 ouch!! Took it easy for a 100 mile ride to break in the new belt. Went about 12 miles today and found a nice straight away and gave her full throttle and boom goes another belt. Dealer keeps saying i gotta break in the belts. I Have!!! Anytime i hold it wide open for more than a few seconds i blow a belt. Is anyone else having this issue or is their a fix. I think cat should stand behind these belts on a new machine. I have spent a lot of money on this machine and the belts are costing me a buck a mile.

That's not a post I want to read!!

I have 2010 CF 800 as well and also paid the 160.00 for a spare belt. My first thought was "this thing better not eat belts". I haven't had an issue with mine so far but unfortunately I only have like 80 miles on the sled. Did a few higher speed runs last weekend and everything held together.

Check your clutch alignment I have seen some of these come from the factory with the alignment off. Get this set correctly and make sure your deflection is right and you should be good.

Hope this helps Jeff

Almost 500 mi. on org. belt, so far so good. We ride 9-11000' and i got the 141power claw, I found the stock clutch set-up to be crap and went with 66g hammerhead weights and slp blue/silver spring, runs alot better imo. Agree with Jeff though, u got alignment issues.
