2010 assault engine issues

800 update

Ran mine this weekend(08 RMK Dragon),ran good but not very strong on top, only getting 8050 rpm's.Changed the belt and it woke up pretty good,up to 8350 rpm's.It is running rich at low rpm's but the midrange is stonger than I remember.Got a total of 180 miles and am pretty happy with it,just need to lean it out a little and it would be good.
I could get it to stumble at around 6500 rpm's but only on the trail and then it was more of a hiccup than anything else.
 
Tips

Are you guys running the right wieghts,because assaults come with weights for the mountains and that would make a big difference, was just in cooke with a 2010 assault and a updated 09 and both ran awesome!!!
 
What octane rating is your premium fuel? In my 08 manual it says to run 91 octane. I only use 91 octane and still put in a little octane boost for personal peace of mind. Are you leaving the mapping wires unplugged or plugging them in?

You are in to something here...remember to use isopropyl based fuel stabilisator when use non ethanol based premium fuel.. to aviod ice bulid in your fuel system ! this is important to do ! to aviod engine faults and power lost

And plugin the wires.. after some break in ..
 
2010 asssault

My son and I both have 2010 Assaults,his is bone stock,mine new clutch weights secondary and clutch spring,Slp pipe and can , he has around 400 miles on his mine around 200,And may I say they are a Kick *** Sled ,should of came with wings,The first 150 miles ran flawless after that they would fall flat on there face at high RPM ,mine the check engine light would come on also,After it happend the second time I decided to head for the trailer and the Dealer, at Yellowstone Polaris,They seamed to have the answer and reflashed the computer,said the motor was telling it self it was over reving ,After the reflash I road about 40 miles and the sled ran flawless ,my son also had the reflash and also no problems,and let me say this ,These sleds kick *** and Yes MIne will eat my sons sled and son if you are listening-The OLD man still is KING ( LOL) i know,:face-icon-small-hap for now..
 
I towed my buddys 10 dragon 20 miles back to the truck after doing the same thing, it still does it exactly
 
I have a pc5 on my 2010 assault and i'm having idle problems.This morning i went on a ride and didnt even make it 10 miles before i turned back.Half way up the trail it bogged really bad and check engine light came on.it bogged at 6,000 rpm.On the way back it went into limp mode 4 times.WHAt THE HELL IS GOIG ON.
