2010 arctic cat

Anyone know when the 2010 models come out, or know if anything will be new on them..snow is not so hot around here now, so I am thinking of holding off till they debut what the new ones will be like.

I don't think a turbo would hurt emissions?

Doubtful it will happen, but it would be sweet

I think the Diamond Drive is great. Don't see why you would want to get rid of it?

so..

the release date for the 2010 is march?, that gives you 45 days to decide if you like it, hear enough about it (most of which will be false) on the net, and put down your deposit?

They have their turbo 4stroker, but I don't think the factory is the one putting out the M8 turbo. That is a special deal through select dealers and Boondocker, I believe. Yes it's true, it's called the M8 RTR or something like that. It has been on Boondockers website for some time now. Look for next years M8 to come with at least 10 more horsepower from the factory, and possibly a new trail sled based of their race chassis.

As for the DD, Cat has a lot of money invested into that project, so who knows what their plan is there. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing it disappear, as I don't think it is all they hyped it up to be in the beginning...

It is a good possibility, they are looking at TEAM for clutch possibilities for a non-DD sled, my brother is in R/D there. TEAM has a new one they are testing.

Elkhorn, I sure hope you are right. A chain case would be welcome on my 2010...

GlennRMK, The diamond drive seems neat on paper, but the failure rate is pretty high if you are not strict with the maintenence. Plus they are heavy and the planetary gears rob a LOT of HP. A chain is a lot more efficient and way more forgiving for the average guy. I have not had any trouble with mine, but I change the oil 2-3 times a year.

i find the dd MUCH more reliable than a chain AS LONG as it doesn't have mechenical reverse. add the reverse, and then BOOM. ticking time bomb. and why do you think the DD robs power?
