has anyone heard what the new 800 h.o. is supposed to get for mpg? Hopefully it is as good as what ski doo claims theirs get. Using a lot less oil would be really nice too!

K bud, they were JUST "released".
Lets wait for them to hit the snow?

It's not going to matter anyways.
Everyone starts asking this stuff way too early.

What belt should I rock for the 2012 REV?

If you are buying a new 11K sled why do you care what kind of mpg's it is getting? Carry a little extra gas if needed....

I am sure it will be about the same as the 08/09

wow i was just wondering, do you think arctic cat hasnt done exstensive testing on the motor and knows what it gets for mpg!! DUH! im pretty sure they arent going to rely on the consumers to figure out reliability mpg oil consumption power and functionality now are they. You should think before you talk. I thought maybe they would have released something at the dealer meeting about it. And if im spending 11k on a sled it would sure be nice not to have to fill up every 90 miles. I ride a crossfire and have a rack bag on the back so there is zero room for extra gas.

90 miles, holy smokes get off the groomed trail. the guys i ride with are lucky to go 55 miles, but we usually only cross the groomed trail when we are going cross country.
just kidding to each his own

i've got close to 9 mpg on my sled at cruise speed going down in elevation with a full moon. with my 09 I've got as bad as 45 on a tank average between 55-60 and on a really mellow day i've seen around 70. I think the 2010 will probably yield similar results depending on how you ride. oh and the doo's and poo's i ride with don't get any better, just depends on whose pulling the trigger.

Hahahahaha.........yes......yes they are. That's why we have aftermarket companies...to do factory R&D

Why do early M7s need fuel pressure regulators??? To improve MPG!

Why do you need to turn down the oiler pumps? To improve oil consumption!

Why do polaris 800s need an extra bearing on the crank? To improve reliability!

Want more power? Get an SLP exhaust....better functionality? How about some vents and boss seat?

Ya thats just what i get on the groomed trails 90 mi per tank, but it isnt that good off trail for sure

The guy has a legit questions and you guys are hammering him. I know that my sled can get 73 miles on a tank with about a 1/3 of that being road riding. I know this because I ran out just as I was lining up with the truck deck. Long story but thanks to good friends.

I just don't see how you can tell MPG on a sled... Too many variables.
I have went as little as 55 miles, and as much or more than 95... Totally depends on snow conditions and riding habbits.
I would guess they will be real close to an 09 sled, if not better.

Yeah, MPG isn't really as important as using similar to who you ride with. My M7, even with fuel turned down, still burns more than the current m8's, never mind skidoos, and I'm trying to figure out HOW to pack more fuel (gonna need a bigger gas rack). Some guys I ride with pride themselves on burning every drop, rarely even stoping to eat lunch. I hate running close on fuel.
