2009 XP Question

I have a Question. I was riding with a 154 Xp and A 163 Xp both 09's. Here is the problem or question. The 154 seemed to be a little sluggish off the line, as we got looking at it it has the same clutch set up as my 08 xp. The 09 XP had the new clutch set up and was preforming better than either of the other sleds. So to my question Did the dealer Get the wrong parts for the 09 154 xp? Shouldn't it have the new clutch set up?

Have you taken the clutches apart to know if the set up is the same? Its the only way to tell. Do both sled shame the same number of miles? A broke in motor will feel much stronger than one with few miles on it. Also the 163 is geared lower, that combined with more traction (from the longer track) may account for the 163 feeling stronger off the line than the 154.

Sorry let me clarify. If you look at the secondary clutch it on the 2009 154 it looks just like my 08xp clutch. The 09 looks like a different secondary.

What you are seeing externally...visually....is the belt deflection adjuster is different.... the internals are also different for 09, or should be. You will have to open it up to see the details though!

Both (08 and 09) clutches externally are exactly the same. Like mentioned, only the belt deflection adjuster is different.
