Here is a list of things we did to improve the high altitude, deep snow operation for the 2009 M1000's.
1-New exhaust spring tabs - have more spring tension so pipe doesn't separate from y-pipe and resonator (reduces
Capping off in deep snow).
2-Added a 3rd air inlet - gives more air to engine when main inlets are plugged off.
3-Changed mapping - adjusted timing, fuel amount, etc. throughout various areas of map to improve acceleration,
Deceleration, throttle response, etc.
4-Removed front pipe cover wrap - help control pipe temperatures.
5-Removed some resonator wrap - help control resonator temperatures.
6-Added rubber exhaust outlet seal - help keep exhaust fumes from entering engine compartment and choking off fresh
Air supply (reduces capping off in deep snow).
7-Added double wall on resonator outlet - reduce heat transfer into rubber exhaust outlet seal.
8-Stiffer LH engine mounts - help control engine movement/parallelism for increased belt life.
