Just brought home my 08 brand new GMC 2500HD Duramax. Less than 200 miles on it. I have an 06 also. What would you like to know?

2008 with 18,000 miles, CCSB LTZ. 16-18mpg highway @ 78-80mph, depending on terrain and conditions obviously. Drops to 10-12 w/ 10,000+lbs behind you. The interior in the GMT 900's is a huge step over the 800, that alone made it worth it for me. Power is there like your 06, unless it's an 06 LLY; then your stepping up.

Dave Smith in Kellogg Idaho had abut 6 08 Dmax, 4 door long boxes that were loaded with leather, sunroof, navigation and tons of other crap for $32-$34k.

there number is 1-208-784-1208
or 1-800-635-800

talk to Rob at extension 1317, he's a good guy

08 crew LTZ,,,,,,,got 9.5 mpg pulling a three place feather to revy, 500 miles between 70 and 80!!! good power, nice ride, 25K on the truck so far.... hope the newer ones get better mpg

Have 07.5 and 08, both have had DPF plug at high elevation, both have great power, but mpg very average. Put new exhaust from turbo back on, solved DPF problems. Waiting for MPG to improve. Way better trucks than the 6.0 Fords we sold. Good Luck

Got an 08 ex cab diesel, about 4k on it now. I get 12-13mpg unloaded and 8-9mpg towing open 4 place. It's got 33's on it tho, so im sure that doesn't help, really hoping it gets better mileage/power as i get some miles on it. I like it so far...seems very solid/well built. I had an 01 and my folks have an 05-both crews- and this truck is very different from those two, mostly in a good way:beer;

i have an 06 gmc 2500hd with the 6.0 gasser and have been seriously lookin at an 08 gmc dmax. What exhaust system did you get and did it remove the dpf? I heard you gain quiet a bit mpg when you do the dpf delete mod.

my 08 quad cab duramax just got just got 9.5mpg at a 120 km's/hr, and would get around 14 mpg at a 100 km's /hr, pulling my 28' inclosed with 5 sleds in it. it just turned over 20,000km's. pulls awsome and a beautiful ride. just make sure you keep a winter front on it.

i called roger and he said they were out of 08's

I just switched from a 06 to an 08 and so far the truck is pretty decent. THe ride is choppier for sure....dont know why. Cant fit any bigger rubber on it with out a lift:eek: Fuel economy is close to my 06...if your pulling and its windy it will drink the diesel....but so did the 06...best part is your still ding 75mph and the tachs not on the redline:D

think i just made the deal 09 chev crew LTZ leather-trade for $16000 with my GM earnings--trade is a cloth 06 LT 35000 miles--

Got a whole bunch in stk.. Need one? :D:D Rebates are great on 08 and I suspect them to get better on 09 real soon...

do you run a dealer ship or somthing, I would like to find a nice 08 but all the left over 08s i can find are long beds or base models or somthing gay like that and dont offer **** for trade in for my truck which is expected but I am not willing to let my truck just go away for nothing.

T/A.. if you get it.. the first thing you will want to do if you do a lot of towing is put in another inline fuel filter.. and mount it in an easy to get to location.. the 08-09's are very bad for going into limp mode when towing heavy loads because of the fuel filters on them.. We have 4 company 08's gmc 35hd's duallys.. they all had problems with them.. put the extra inline in and change every oil change.. havent had one problem since.. my dads new 09 should be in here in the next couple weeks.. it to will have this done..
