We have a 2009 800dragon 163 cfi we are having issues with. If you first start it up and take off it runs fine but it seems like the warmer it gets it starts to cut out and just die. pull the rope it starts up runs for abit and just dies again. sometimes if you just cruise along slow it will work fine? This is wierd .any ideas?? We already tried the voltage regulater!!

sounds like maybe a short to ground somewhere.

thank you for helping got it fixed tonite. It was the stator. somehow a peice of a pop rivet got in there and was messing things up!! Works aweseome now!!!! i never seen anything like it before!!!

check fuel pressure maybe as the pump warms up it looses pressure?
