Snowing good from 4km. up today and snowing hard at the cabin. 9 1/2 ft. measuring on Herbie`s pole and for you guys that count the stairs 3 up to the front of the cabin. Bottom trails are holding up but a bit skinny in a couple spots.
Come up and have a Herbie or Billy Burger at the Boulder cabin Sat. all proceeds go to the B.C. Lions Society to help fund Easter Seal buses, houses and camps.

Nine and ahalf feet of base snow, fresh powder and Herbie burgers sounds like heaven. Thanks Powder Puff:face-icon-small-hap

We rode Boulder again today, another foot of fresh since yesterday, .....wicked snow collected in the sub-alpine, ....12"-18" of champagne through the trees, ..but wind swept up top. Probably three feet of snow in the last four days, above 4000', lower trails are starting to show signs of the El Nino.....

Check all Avy reports and conditions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunshine/blue skies and SCHWEEEET fresh Powder yesterday, wind swept up on the ridges with only 6" of new, but off the ridge on either side and there was 18", ..more in the trees. Certainly enough for some good stucks.

A great day for sure.

Going back for more today.

Cheers

We need more snow !! lots of pounded out areas. We are supposed to get some precip mid-week, lets hope for a BIG DUMP.

Coming to ride early next week, how bad are conditions Veedy?

Depends on one's perspective, the conditions are not neccessarily "bad", the days have been beautiful with lots of Bluebird skies, but as Veedy said, the fresh powder is pretty much used up, still lot's of snow, but not so much POW. As Veedy also pointed out, we have several days of precipitation in the upcoming forecast. You will probably have some great conditions, don't worry.

The cooler weather of late has really helped the lower trails stay intact, the GROOMER guys have been doing an awesome job keeping the lower trails snow covered, ..even to the point of hauling in snow. Hats off to Herb and the rest of the groomer crews!!!!!

An update on the new Boulder cabin :face-icon-small-hap. Thanks Barb and Greg for all your time and effort finding grants. I can almost see Herbie on the deck doin` the burger thing with his new bar-b-q on NOS :face-icon-small-ton. Hear things should start happening in Apr.

a couple corrections in the article $330,000 is confirmed and in 2004 sledders spent $5 million. Pretty sure the rest is true ;)

There is 10 ft. of snow at Boulder cabin. 6" of fresh reported this aft. Snowing now and more precip in the forecast. Herb made trails on the snowbanks around the lots at Boulder this aft. Still riding from the lots at Boulder and Frisby and doing the best with what snow is left on bottom trails.
Here is another article on the grant from CBT. :face-icon-small-hap

I'm booked to come out to Rev from the 15-18.

How are conditions out there at this point?

This would be my first time out to the area.

Revy Feb 26-28

Lots of new snow everywhere, upwards of a foot. We had a riot in the trees!!!

That being said there was numerous slab effect slides everywhere, especially on any crested ridges. The underlying weak layers are VERY active. Fortunately the response is slow to start with a little retention to keep the slide speed down but the are very wet and heavy!

I was at Sale on Saturday at the tower and rode along the top of the hill 15 feet bacl from the edge when practically the whole face sled down to the layer which I had skied on two weeks earlier. Scarey

Please check the CAC and practice safe sledding
