2008 nitro compression ?

Just wondering if the 2008 nitro has the same compression problems the apex has. I am used to riding two strokes and when you let off of the throttle you coast and on the four strokes I found that the compression was a big problem for me on the 2007 apex. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how it is on the nitro and also how does the nitro do boondocking and everyday riding without alot of hills stock or do you need to put a turbo on to have any decent power. Would greatly appreciate any answers. Thanks

The 08 Nytro has a different motor than the APEX. It is 3 cylinder and was build for snowmobiling. I rode mine stock almost 600 miles and it was far more fun than my RT1000. Much easier to move around and boondock with and the power delivery is very linear and smooth. I rode hill and trail and boondocked and it is fun as hell. I do more climbing than anything so I went turbo on it and it is still just as fun to boondock with.

Compression issues are not as bad on the nytro. the have a new system that gives you a "coast" feeling when you let off the throttle.

this is not a problem, as the Nytro's have a system that's called something like anti-motor-brake or something, and it means that when you let of the trottle, it doesn't brake like the apex does...I REALLY liked it on my Apex once I got used to it, and was dissapointed when they went the Nytro route and prevented this...

Coasting

I personally did not like the feel of the Nytro coasting effect as there was little to no engine braking when coming back down the hill. Coming off an '07 Summit 800 and '08 xp i much preffered that format. Nytro needs boost but is a fun sled anyways.

Compression release break in

I think mine took a little while to get used to, I was used to a lot more "coasting" when releasing the throttle which caused a few impacts with the handlebars during the first few rides.

Seems like when the motor loosened up, the engine braking reduction system started to work better, or maybe I just got used to the machine and started to let off the throttle a little more gradually...

Either way, I haven't ridden an Apex, so I can't compare to that but there was a learning curve for sure, for me.

Wouldn't go back now though.
