Startin to get thin..had to hunt n peck through/around some dry spots...I drove up the road about 1? 2? miles from the lot... and the road was still spotty from there.
It was getting very windy/gusty and warm on the ride in. Next week you may be able to break the road to the top parking area deal..if not further.. Not sure sledding will be worth it in that specific area much longer. Came to the top of most the hills and ran right into dirt/rocks if you weren't checking.
On the way in, I needed to do "1 last climb" and it turned out badly. The last couple shots on snow will show my carve..which I carved too hard, lost traction and layed the sled on its side, and it slid backwards down the hill a few sled lengths. I stopped and thought "phew...that was lucky..."
Well, I went to pull it back over onto its feet and....momentum didn't stop after it came over... hahah A stupid move, I could have avoided if I would have really thought it through...but...alas, it took a bit of a tumble. 10 or so rolls with me sliding down behind and under it trying to grab at it and slow it down.. After having the sled roll over me a couple times, which included running board into my thigh and seat into my noggin...I gave up on stopping it. It stopped on its own in a lil cluster of trees..on its hood. After letting a shout slip due to the pain in the leg, I made my way down to the sled.
Rolled it back on its feet again. At this point, I was now a bit concerned about it restarting.
Cranked it over like normal, fired right up, lil puff of smoke and cleaned right out....was really amazed.... I <3 EFI 4 strokes and their e-start!!
If it were my carbed Rev, I'd not only had to roll it back over...i'd have to sit n pull n pull n pull n pull n pull...and try to get my breath back, and pull n pull..u get the idea. LOL
And, I did some hiking and picture taking... during and after the ride as well. Thus the few "River Shots" at the end.
