Can you fit a mountain sled in the box of an 07 Tundra?
Blew a brake line on my F-350 tonight and need to transport a sled this weekend:rolleyes: Going to have to take my brothers truck, anyone done this before??

Thanks!!:)

Tundra

Is it the crewmax or whatever they call it with the really short box? We have one at work, I think it would still fit but that depends what you consider a safe amount of sled hanging out the back.... I can measure it if you don't have yours available.

Yea the Crewmax cab has a 5.5ft box, I'm driving a 155" one way and a 162" on the way back:confused: *** I really dont wanna pull a trailer 600Km each way with 1 sled:eek:

Call me picky, but when you load it keep an eye on the tailgate so you don't bow it permanantly. Maybe put a 2x6 across the tailgate to help spread the load.

Thanks guys! I havent insured the sled yet:o Good idea on the 2x6:beer;
Maybe I'll have to blow a break line everytime I go sledding if this works!!:p
Tundra sure drives alot smoother than my 07 F-350 POS!:rolleyes:

I'm curious to see you're thoughts. I thought about buying a Tundra but thought the bed was too short on the Crew Max. Take a pic if ya could. I might just end up with the Double Cab and the 6'6" bed. Good luck and get insurance. You might be covered for a grace period if you already have it. I'd call to ask.

I put my 159" in the DC Tundra - piece of plywood and an Oxlite bifold ramp works ok.

Sticks out a bit...

No, that's a pre-06 model with the 6' box. I have seen a few sleds in Crewmax's around here, the longest was a 159 Rev. It hangs out a bit, and the track is 100% on the tailgate, so some plywood or whatnot to reinforce would be a good idea. If I was goin to do it all the time, I'd go with a deck or a sled bed....I have friends with both in their Crewmax's and they work good.

Well I got the 155" in the back w/o any problems! Shoved some wood under the track do dispurse some of the weight on the tail-gate, not bent YET;)
