2007 M8 clutch questions

Have my sled in the shop doing the usual pre winter checks (plugs, coolant, DD oil change, inspection). With the back of the sled up on a stand, I was running it to warm it up to check everything. Brapping the throttle and the clutches appear to be operating as usual, but when I let off the gas the track continues to spin, being pulled along slowly at an idle. If I hit the brake it stops, release the brake and the track goes back to slowly spinning. With the eye I cannot tell if the primary is not expanding all the way or if the secondary is the issue.

Sled has an SLP single pipe setup. Last winter I added a 40/36 helix and the small bearing that the secondary spring rides on. Primary clutch has not been worked on at least 3 years and ~1500 miles.

I also had quite a good amount of oil come out when I removed the bolt that holds the secondary clutch on. Is that normal? I cannot remember it ever happening in the past when I have changed the DD oil.

Any insight is appreciated.

Oil coming out of bolt that holds the secondary = Way too much oil in the DD case. Creeping track is good as long as if it dosent drive off on idle. Creeping track is good adjusting of secondary . But could mean a toasted primary clutch.

Any way to tell if the primary is toasted without taking it all apart?

I filled the DD with the standard arctic cat oil, the small individual use bottle that is the amount for the case, or so I thought.

15oz oil for reverse 08 Acritc Cat, How many miles on the clutch? Did you put a new belt on or change the secondary shims and then its creeping at idle? Am i speaking french to you? if so your clutch is toast.

Negative on the new belt and shim change. Not speaking french, I was just wondering. Should have enough snow tomorrow morning to get it out on the snow. If it creeps on snow I'll know it is time for a rebuild. Thanks for the replies.

I believe it's 3 oz for the non reverse models (05-06), 12 oz for case actuated reverse (07-09) and 15 oz for engine actuated reverse (10-11). This is speaking for M's and Xfires. not sure about anything else.
