2006 Xfire 700 SP/newbie

Hey everyone, I just bought a 2006 Crossfire 700 sno-pro and am just wondering if anyone can give me advice on things to watch for on it, change on it, etc. I am for sure going to get a 2'' track, and possibly put a 144 on it. I ride about 75% U.P. Michigan, and split the other 25% between central MN (when we have snow) and montana. I have heard alot of things about the ACT drive and just want to take every precaution to make sure it is ready to go soon. My dealer sold me some flush and a 3oz bottle of fluid (concerned because I know some take 12oz), but no instructions on how to use the flush or how much fluid to put in. Thanks to all who respond!!!

You can do it a couple of different ways. The way your dealer told you, or by removing the DD and taking it apart each spring. Both will work just fine, but I prefer to take mine apart. It allows me to inspect all the gears and bearings for damage and replace if needed. Your will take the 3 oz of fluid, the ones with reverse take 12 oz.

Here are a few things I would do and have done. I ride the Mtns in Alaska. I would get a 2'' paddle but if your not gonna be in the deep all the time you won't need the 144. I have 136x2 and ride with 144 and 153's all day. I put a mbrp can on it, loud and love it and Vforce reeds. Really saw a difference. I also striped the inside of the hood of unwanted padding. I changed out the handle bars for my height 6'2''. Get rid of the stock skis -> crap. I'm running stock M skis. I am throwing a 144 under it and gears and clutching it. also putting snow eliminators and a bdx bumper on it. M gas tank and boss seat. Blew a hole in my stock pipe first ride out, going with a speedwrex cc pipe and air intake, to go with my lexon hood. going to end up getting a boondocker too. I would like at getting the piggy backs for your fox floats. pm me if ya need any other ideas,
