2006 Summit DESS question

I just bought a 2006 Summit 600 adrenalin for a guest sled and I have to fiddle with the DESS key/cap to get the DESS light to go out. Can I just buy a new key for this? Or is it a programmed one?

Anything I need to know? Thanks!

Key is programmed. Dealer must doo the programming.

I can't be the only one who has seen this where you have to wiggle the DESS cap to get the beeping to go off, what is the most common fix for this? Thanks!

Let me answer my own question. I took the DESS key and post off, then used plastic tie to hold cap on post and plugged it back in and left under the hood. No tether but I really do not care, and if some one steals it I no longer have to %^&* around with DESS.
