2005 REV Clutching

I have an 800 REV Summit X. What is done to the motor:
-SLP Can
-SLP High Comp Head
-SLP Can
-SLP Cold air Intake

I am pulling about 8400 RPM's. Seems a little high. The clutch is a clicker clutch. Can I get the RPM's down with that, or will I need to get different weights?

TIA

Whats your clickers set on? You can drop 200 RPM's for every click you go down and typically you want to be on clicker 2 or 3. If not running in that range you may want to add some weight.

What should I be running at? 8200?

I really do not know what the clicker is set at. I just bought this sled.
I have about 90 miles on it. (like 3020 on the sled).

It's easy! Just look at the numbers on the clutch and see where they line up with the mark on the clicker bolt. Try clicking down a couple, if you can.

I assume it is easy to move the clicker, but I still don't know what I should be running at? I am guessing 8200.

If I can adjust it without adding weight that would be great... $$$

8000 on the tach is good for a stock 05 HO.

the tachs are pretty darn close by what i can tell when comparing to my digitron.

also to adj clickers, u LOOSEN the nut (think its 10mm), leave it hangin on the end of the bolt/adjuster, tap the nut end towards the bolt end so the bolt/adjuster sticks up out of its inset, use a 13mm or your fingers to turn the bolt/adjuster to a lower number, u can prob go down 2 #s. you'll see the adjuster/bolt has a mark/pointer on it that points to a number on the clutch .. line it up and push/tap it back into the inset, tigheten the nut. continue to next adjuster.

you MUST do all 3 at once. use a small ratchet to do it real quick. :) I carried a 10mm and ratchet till this year (went to quick clickers)..

if its a 2005 stock 800HO, 7950....clutch for 8k on the tach....yes.

if its an 800R, its higher...

Is this considered stock?
-SLP Can
-SLP High Comp Head
-VF III Reeds
-SLP Cold Air Intake (along with speedo hole, and the filter sock)

No porting or pipe, but until recently no one made any power on aftermarket pipes.

Call SLP and tell them what you have. They should be able to point you in the right direction since you have all of their stuff.

Definetely. I doubt anyone here could tell what the magic RPM's are gonn be unless they have tried the same set up themselves. You might just have to play with the engine and see what RPM's it responds best at. With what you have on your sled now I'd say you will want to be around 8K.

I have an 05 adrenaline 840 .Lots of other mods. I have found that clicker 4 at 8100 RPMs is the sweet spot. I only check this on a nice long powder climb and try to hold this RPM. On the flats it hits 8500 but I am a highmarker primarily.I run DJ's clitch with 17.5 grams.

I am not so much worried about the sweet spot as much as I am over-reving the motor...

I mostly boondock with it, but it doesn't mean I don't wrap it out.

clutching

you never want to run your tra on anything less than clicker #3 it changes the angle of the ramps to much.clicker 3 or 4 assuming you have 414 or 415 ramps.
