also i want to get the go ahead because even though the guy id buy it from has sat on it for a couple years while riding his newer bike. he has another guy looking to buy this for his kid and i dont want to get it bought out from under me, even though i told him i would most likely buy it so keep it on the downlow for awhile anything could happen you know?

I feel for my you, but you still need to figure out how to convince your Dad in to letting you buy this with your money, don't go get it without their permission. The only thing worse than missing out on this deal, would be to go get it and have Dad take it away from you and now you have to sit and look at it while you still are not riding! Think hard before you open your mouth, then plead your case. If you win, ride responsible. Like others have said, that is alot of bike and can get you hurt very quickly, which is exactly what they are afraid of.
