2003 Summit 800H0

I just picked up a 2003 Summit 800 HO. Took it out last Fri it ran very good but I cant seem to keep anything I have stock so I was wanting to know what others have done to thier sleds. Thanks.

ditto

I'm 6'2 so i put 8" RSI risers on (which meant throttle extension and extended brake like) Sled was 159" stock. HPS can, Boyesen Reeds, and a Boss seat. (so far) :face-icon-small-hap

Here are a few things to do.

Bar risers, Pilot 6.9 rev ski's are a great cheap step-up off the factories. Boss seat to loose a little bit of weight, but mostly for comfort.

Lightweight trailing arms will drop a bit of weight, but if you're really into weight, a lot can be had out of the hood! Snag a BRTech thrasher hood, light, and look awesome.

As far as can's go, you never really gain hp, just loose weight and sound awesome, BUT! the one that showed some promise was the Thing can's, I run one and actually noticed a slight rpm gain. They aren't the cheapest though, but they are a great can.

I love mine, would never give it up honestly, as it sets with a 162, an 03' tunnel, drivers, geared way down, mesh hood, thing can, cut head, ported/polished, boyesen reeds.

what it's getting.....rider forward "slide", extended chaincase, pods, drop oil injection.

boyesen reeds are the bomb...gets rid of the de-lam boot problem...betterboards are a must also :first:

I heard u can also put Rev Heads on them my buddy has it done to his and it gives u a good HP Gain i am looking for a set for mine any Rev year should work!!!

800 ho

you could always do a shr 840 kit from big john or a 827 kit from rk tech most of the ho engines need a new top end any way becuase after 1000 or miles they get to much cylinder to piston wall clearance and break the skirts and then break the cases.
i got a blown up ho and put a 780 tripple in it it really rips
thanks dan
