2003 RX1 supercharged 270HP ??? Good or bad?

Anyone have any input on these machines? I'm looking at one that has a Stage 2 Mountain Performance 270HP Supercharger on it. 162x2.5 track. 1000 miles. Holz rear susp. Fox air shocks.

Is it worth my time, or am I wasting my time even looking at these machines?

What would a sled like this be worth?

Thanks

the down side first... HEAVY!!! carbs, older chassis.
The up side is these sleds ran very strong if setup right. Bulletproof. MPI boost is a boondockers dream, they are the greatest in tight trees in an on and off situation. Things to look for.....make sure he has an AFR gauge. I know its an almighty bulletproof 4stroke but if he had no idea what the AFRs were the motor could have an issue if it was run lean. Blower temp gauge is very important as well, the ROTREX blowers are very durable unless they are over heated and you dont want to buy a new blower (2200 retail ) just for the blower. If its making 270 its making 15-16 lbs of boost so it will be a race gas only setup but easily change to run less boost if race gas is an issue for you. And one more thing.... make sure its a stage 2... stage one is a c15 60 and a stage 2 is a c30 74 ...the c 30 is about twice the physical size of a c15

I'm going to bump this over to the boosted yamaha section...you will probably get more input there.

Once upon a time, those RX1's on boost ruled all. Anything pushing 270HP on the hill is going to get you anywhere you want to be, and probably a few places you dont. If the price is right and the sled is in good shape I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up.
