2002 Arctic Cat Manual vs 2003 ARctic Cat Manual

Ive come across a free copy of the 2002 Arctic Cat Manual but my Cat is a 2003. Is there much of a difference between the two? Should I be getting the 2003 copy for $6.95 or whatever its worth online?

Or will the 2002 version be pretty much the same.

About the only real difference will be that the 02 year would not have info on the 900.

I also thought the later model '03 (not the early build version) had some significant chassis changes from the '02 as well.

Hmm, interesting, I thought I read through it and found some infor on the 900 engine. Its about 200 pages long so I might go back and check that. But if there were also Chassis changes then I might just fork out the $6.95 for the 03' one.

The 900 came out as a 03' model but there were early builds that were actually 02 1/2 models. They were still the old chassis with the chaincase dropped some. There really was no major changes. Some different parts and they lightened it up some but the mechanical basics were still the same. They dropped the belly pan to cover the chain case and lightened the skid and A arms but most anything you are going to work on remains the same. The later model 900's did have a few spec changes like PV cable length.

I think I remember from the papers that mine was manufactured in Oct 2003, that would make it a late model 03' then wouldnt it?

Ah ok, so he wasnt BS'ing when he advertised it as an 04'.

Going back a bit here, but when I look at the side of the airbox its got the jetting instructions for a 2003 Mountain Cat......so even though it was built in Oct 2003, its still a 2003 Cat right?

Im trying to figure out which chaincase I have (drop and rolled or not) as I need to replace it in the next week or two.

I just went out and bought some manuals for a 2004 cat, now to find that its more than likely a 2003.

I shouldnt believe everything I read on a forum.
