2 rides, Three belts

Have put 280 miles on the Nytro since boost and have had no real issues till the last two rides. Shredded a belt while ripping across a flat last time out on the way back to the trailer. I mean shredded it! Tore up two belts today in less than 25 miles. Spares were old, maybe two years or more since my TApex has original still on it. Any thoughts?

Did you check the clutches for debris? Were you running hard pack or deep pow on the flat?(working the belt hard) Somethings not right. Shouldn't be eating belts on a Yammie. Maybe check clutch alignment also.

I've lost two belts in 1200 miles. If you accidently leave your parking brake on it will kill the belt...FAST(i.e. flatspotting). I haven't touched my parking brake in the last 600 miles(I forget to flip it off) and the belt looks new.

Have you had the secondary off? Is everything put back together right?

Do you ride with Xp's, it's possible you caught a belt eating virus. What is your clutch setup? Shockwave? Supertips? How many turns on the shockwave if you have one? How do you have your weights setup?

Something is wrong there for sure. I changed out the belt on my turbo after 4000k not because it was looking bad but just because I thought I should. My buddy just blew a belt on his turbo but that was because he put on a reverse kit from a flatlander sled that was geared way too high. Changed out the gearing to mountain specs problem solved. Whats your gearing stock MTX?

I have the shockwave on with Lepheimers clutch setup. Spinning 8600. Nothing has changed from initial setup. Same system on my Tapex with 2200 miles on original belt. Gonna put some flo-rites in this morning and see if it is a heat issue. Can't get a clutch alignment tool til Monday

I would check your parking brake to be sure nothing is sticking, I have 600 miles on my turbo nytro, original belt. Was it possible to much ice built up and was rubbing the track? I have also noticed on my brake caliper that the pads are not wearing evenly, one pad is not pushing out and the other one is extended all the way, the rotor is nearly rubbing the caliper.

Maybe there's a caliper issue then? I just replaced both my pads and they wore down very evenly, less than 1 mm on each side when I replcaed them.

Parking brake was the first thing in the garbage. Put on brand new belt today and no issues. Heavy wet snow. Maybe the other belts were old and breaking down?
