Wow, that jump is horrible. I was cringing every time a sled hit it! No wonder dude went over the handle bars.

Decent entertainment I suppose.

We are still refining our Jump building skills. Almost no one I ride with is down to build them so I don't get much practice.

What would you suggest we do differently there?

If you were on a pair of skis it might work but a sled jump needs to be more like a shelf. Less of a bow in it is what I'm trying to say. Think long wedge not a short bump.

agreed, transition (curvy part) needs to be as long or longer then sled

also, no lip on the jump. Lips are good for slow speed kickers, but as you go faster, they upset the chassis too much.

Ryan,

You riding Saturday? I might be up for some shoveling. The more shovels the better.

Was this the guy I was having the official Powerclaw versus Camo Extreme alcohol induced discussion with on my birthday???

I saw you guys there.... My old man and I were on the way to the tower for the last time... then i got stuck =(

went as part of a 8 man group up posers pass today. 2 blown belts, 1 with terrible cord tangle behind fixed primary sheave, 1/2 hr to clear it out. On way out 1 sled left trail, ended up upside down underwater. Got pics of sled with water behind headlight cover. Sled started right up after 30-40 pulls. Polaris dragon. Had a good time. Deep soft spring snow, untracked everywhere.

Pretty comical! Took 6 guys about 10 minutes to drag the sled back onto the trail. Good times :face-icon-small-ton

I rode Stampede today as part of a 9 man group. Good times, deep soft untracked snow everywhere we went. Where were you guys riding? We rode out by Meadow Mountain mostly. We didnt see another sled or fresh track all day minus the main road and parking area. No pics, forgot cam in the truck.

Same here, didn't see any sleds all day except in lot.

Due to the, errrr, let's say "less than accomplished" riders in the group, we didn't make it further than Freeway hill. Lots of hill bashers in the group. I'd rather cover more territory. Still had a fun day! Sunburned cheeks and windburned eyeballs!

Need to pick up another belt!

And NO, the riding isn't done. The season is far from over if you don't mind riding spring snow!

REALLY? Yep, right next to the main trail out, less than 2 miles from the lot!

Notice the water behind the cover? Pretty comical

No harm done, at least no major damage. Everyone was laughing and having a good time. Poor sled owner had to wade in up to his mid thigh to help right the overturned sled. Good thing it was so warm out today!

Pownar pretty well hit it. Try not to make such a wamped out and whoopty transition. The tranny needs to be long and smooth (in most cases). Building a proper jump, and therefore a bit safer, requires a little more time and a good eye for natural terrain. Tell your friends to stop being wusses and help you build a solid jump, or find a better natural tranny with a decent landing. No one I ride with would want to build a jump unless it was for skiing, so if I want some hang time I look for cliffs or natural hits.

Nice!

Sorry I missed out on that!

You might want to add a motor to this one^^^. The water in this headlight assembly is now part of the air intake on this CFI.
