2-moto or Explorer? Anybody tried both?

Bull.... I have not ridden the explorer kit but I know that the 2 moto kit is second to none. This isn't there first year in production and they have put them through the paces over the past 2-3 years (there current design)and have a great product and they have been designing way before that. PM me your phone number and I'll have Brett call you... You really need to talk to these guys. If you want to talk to Nesbo, he bought one last year and rode it a lot, I could arrange that as well.

THANKS!! That site had some good info...This kit uses the stock swingarm? while the 2-moto kits change it out to a new design swingarm

All you need to to is take off the wheels and put this kit on?

that is right, and killer is right as well,,,its an easy change off and on, under one hr each. the explorer uses all your bike parts except the front break. that is why the cost is lower for us. the thing that keeping our stock swing arm brings, is,,,,,it keeps the bike's seat height the same as a wheel, very big advantage for us, that keeps the center of gravity lower. also adboivin has been into "snowbikes" for the past 10 years, so the front ski is incredible with the twin axis. another great feature is the upgrade they have done since the prototype in utah, is the "footprint" the explorer gives, the track is 11 1/2 in. x 109in. gives a footprint of 575 sq inches, thats more than enough to float. 1 1/2 in lugs will also give the traction you need to keep your bike on top of the snow in any condition. BIG footprint + light weight vehicle= flotation = less power required!!

also the only person that i know that has tried both is this guy , and trust me he knows about one ski machines, check him out http://www.mccbrothers.com/

I dont think you can go wrong either way.. One skis are the sh.t!!
I wont get into a debate over which one is better.. Only time will tell..
And if theres only one guy thats ridin both, we wont have those answers until next season if even then..
I have a 2moto kit on a 525 ktm.. I can say no one will be happy with these mounted on anything but a big bore bike..
The 2moto does have a completely diff swing arm, shock, braking system.. mines operated by the foot, but easily converted to a hand brake or both if someone desired. Im sure you could also do that with the explorer. All the 2moto components are of high quality. Im sure the explorer is as well.
The drive is via a chain system with the drivers inside the track at the back.
Im looking forward to more riders getting out there and ripping up the snow,
We need more one ski riders out there..
whatever you chose you'll have a great time...

Scott: Is Brett he same guy as Blaser? I've talked to him, and we might be working something out...He sounds like a real good guy.. I know you said you'd tested a bike with this kit when I visited you guys, and that's what stuck in my mind ever since you said it....I'd like to talk to Nesbo about it...I know he wouldn't lie to his Norwegian brother... LOL

off road...what kind of displacement do you think IS absolutely needed? I got the WR450F to mount it on, I hope it will be enough...

I already have some of Boivins stuff, so I know their quality isn't too bad, and luckily you guys say the same about 2-moto's...

I'm still stuck on wich way to go....

A 450 will be fine.. the guys thinking there going to be riding 250 4strokes are going to be disappointed, at least in the mountains. The perfect bike is the husaberg 650 IMO. Im going to be pumping up the 525 for this years fun.

2-moto is, if my mind serves me right, 4250.. Explorer is 3grand...But the explorer doesn't have as much stuff like the 2-moto. Uses stock swingarm and so on, so I guess the parts costs more to build the 2-moto...

what are the prices for each kit. 2moto is 4G ISH? Can these go in deep snow, or mainly for hard pack

I dont enjoy riding on hard pack at all, generally Ill bounce off the trail way before my buddies on sleds. (They cant make it threw the trees)
Yes they work great in powder. Otherwise why have one??

the 690 is fine for the explorer kit,,, thats the great thing about the explorer,,, you can get it for one bike,, and if you sell your bike for any reason, you only have to buy a $250 adaptor kit for your new bike. i am not sure how 2moto handles that, can a 2moto owner let us have a little inside info on that please?

All the swingarms are the same. its a matter of bushings for the fit to diff bikes.
although there are prob some bikes that may require a bit more??
