2.6" track question

is the new 2.6" track have a 2.86 or a 3.0 pitch? When I put a peak 2.5 2.86 on my 13, it barely, barely fit. and it rubbed a little sometimes on the coolers, I can't image the 2.6" fitting without trimming some on it...

2.86 pitch according to the podcast

Was there any noticeable difference gearing the 600 down? How much top end lost if any? I assume this was on a 2013 600?

I was hoping a 2016 drive shaft will bolt right into the pro chassis and I can just purchase oem parts.
I have not installed the drivers yet, but there are a lot of people who have geared down the 600 Pro with a similar gear ration to what this gets you and been very happy with it. I suggest a bit of searching on the gear-down kit(s) out there and the resulting top end loss etc.

Hmm

My CE 2.5 fit with 5/8" clear above the drivers at the tightest spot.
Like 1 1/8" in front of the drivers.

Track Info

Was looking at the 2016 accessories book today, and they do have part numbers already for the new tracks and pricing if anyone is interested in getting one once they become available to purchase. Some other really neat accessories and gear coming for 2016.

bringing this one back up with more questions:

will the new axys pro drive shaft work on a pro-ride pro? from the parts fiche, they look very similar, but I notice the bearing flange mounts differently. i’m guessing the mounting flange from a pro could be used??

reason I ask: looking to run the new track, but it will require driver changes. the new drivers from avid are $520 plus the labor of the r&r.

I brand new driveshaft with drivers is $609 msrp, but I can get if for cheaper. I makes more sense to get a new (hopefully improved) shaft with drivers already installed.

thanks

$520 for Avid Drivers seems very high. I think that I paid around $270 for mine when I put 7 tooth drivers on my 13 Pro for the Camoplast X3 track. That was for a complete set (3).

maybe I looked wrong on their website, but I saw $130 each and $260 for the center :noidea:

Ok

Hey Robbie, So, what does that mean on the web site, "These will ALLOW you to run quality antiratchet drivers"
It seems like it's saying, you don't need anymore drivers, but you CAN run more if you want to?

Sorry if I'm literally disecting this statement too deeply...

You missed some of his wording, "These will allow you to run quality anti-ratchet drivers without cutting your rails.

Same principle as other drivers except this new setup uses the center port on tracks that have it vs. drivers that have the anti-ratchet extroverts inline with the rails.

This instead of the OEM 3 driver setup:

Also instead of this, which requires trimming the rails:

Ok, which one do u think works better?

Which driver to use depends on what track you have - does it have the center port windows or not.

I have no issues trimming the rails to fit Avid's extrovert drivers. It isn't rocket science.

Rocket Scientist

Funny you should say that...

In 2004, when we dropped 9 tooth extrovert drivers into my fabcraft tunnel 01 Polaris with the Tison extended Chaincase that was dropped and rolled even more. Then tried to retro fit an 04 Poo suspension that had been reworked by Holz in there, I think we may have reconfigured the theory of relativity along with it...

I know it's not that difficult, I'm asking what you guys THINK about how the two compare to each other, performance,,,,,, eh, er,,,,,,, efficiency wise....

That's all

Thanks tho:face-icon-small-win

And, the flat spot...

I think I have all the force equations worked out in my head. And I've come to terms with the flat spot...:face-icon-small-con
