I've read over and over the comparisons between the 2.6vs.2.5vs.3.0, etc etc. I've come to the conclusion I probably will be just fine with either. Final decision making time.....what negatives have you had with the camo extreme 2.5? Will be on an M8 and ride in Wa

When I had a NA m1000 I can tell you one of the very best mods I ever did was a CE 2.5.
The track hook up way better than the original challenger 2.25 and it lasted a couple of seasons with no wear at all.I ended up selling it for close to what I paid for it.
You'll be very happy once you ride it with the new track.

I have the CE 2.5 on a 800 Cat, 800 Doo, T-Vec, and Cat CPC Mod. The CPC sled gets a 3" this winter and we'll see the difference. If it blows the doors off of what the 2.5 was, then every track I buy from here on out will be the 3". The only problem I've had with the 2.5 is lugs delaminating on the Turbo. Previous owner rode 40km each way to and from the mtn. At speeds that a 162x2.5 track shouldn't travel. Having said that, they had problems with this very issue. I don't think anyone has seen these issues for a year or two now.

It looks like you are going to have to buy some new tracks...lol
I have replaced the 2.5 on both of my sleds with the 3 inch. Now these really hook up and amost make the 2.5 feel like a slick.
Both of mine have the old style cut down but for my latest build I have a new style single ply.
I am very curious on how that one is going to perform. It is a LOT lighter than the old style.
Cheers

I had a camo 2.5 extreme 9175 the one without the grooves at the tip(flat across the top)on my 2012 Proclimb. I replaced my stock 2.25 that i wrecked on a stump stob, with this track. I did not like the track, I felt it would spin all the time and it rubbed on the side of the tunnel constantly. the only thing I felt was an advantage was the down hill braking was much better than the stock track, everything else was a dissipointment. I sold it this year and bought a 2.6 cat track, I hope it works better than the 2.25 track and the extreme 2.5.... I would not recomend this track, especially for washington snow. I think the old style track(with the grooves) would be a better choice. just my opinion of course.

Jus a few years ago we had an edge running the 2.5. Not so much now that it is on most stock newer sleds . Now running the 3 inch makes the 2.5 feel like a slick! Game on or game over depending on which your running lol

All of mine have had the 'teeth' on them. If they offered a 150 in 3" I'd love to put that under the old Rev.

After one year with the stock track I put the new 2.5 CE on my 2012 proclimb and it was slightly better in the bottomless powder but terrible on any hard/set up snow. Unless all you ride is bottomless powder you will be disappointed.

ive never heard that complaint, Mine braked very well, the stiffer paddle had a great bite. Better bite than my 3 inch on set sno.

Same experience here. On my D8 I switched from the 5.1 track which was way to soft for that heavy sled. The CE was amazing in hooking up and downhill braking. Did good in the powder after a limiter strap adjustment (was a trenching pig before that). The 5.1 is a good track for powder. I think it just depends what you have now and what your expectations are. The CE is heavier than the 5.1 (amplified with rotating mass). good overall track. The guys in the heavy snow will really like it.

How many different versions have there been of the 2.5" Extreme? Just two, or have there been three?
