1ST Annual snowmobile grass drags Billing MT

sorry would like a little better clarifacation in the times of the races and the directions i will be down there. and would like to come.

It's the new zoo drive exit and it's right across interstate from the skidoo/cat shop called Hi Mountain Rec
It looks like this is where the race is at . They say registration 8-10:30 am Sat. with racing starting around 11:00 am and a silent auction at 8Pm on sat , Finals on Sun.
We'll be bringing 3 sleds out of Great Falls to give you guys some competition, Ken.

I was thinking the same thing. Hey Racingpit, what sleds are ya bringing ?

2 laydown sleds...I think one is a 800, other is a 700...not sure exactly, I know for sure that we are not bringing the 600 open sled. We are also bringing the 1300 outlaw sled, and my 600 improved sled.

I'll come out and spectate for sure. Maybe bring the stock RZR for fun. What's needed for safety gear? My sled won't make it (no tether or race gas right now for SCRX-1).

Edit; LOL, I found out you don't need a tether. Next year; I'll bring the SCRX-1mtn and Polaris Outlaw 525 quad out for a little fun. Never have tried grass dragging on the sled b-4 but used to race Moto-cross (20+ years ago). Will post up some pics sometime after Sundays finals once I upload them to the PC.

Thanks for a great time

Just wanted to give all the people involved in the Billings Grass drags this past weekend a big pat on tha back, after having only 3 weeks to put this race on and contending with 2 feet of snow just one week before the event and then rain on Sunday during the races, these guys did an awesome job of putting on great event, and even better it was for a great cause, Thanks to Octane Addictions, Tyler and crew for working there butts off, it was a great time and hope to be there next year. THINKS SNOW Gregg Also thanks to the Bozeman guys for lending there awesome Pro Tree and helping out with the event.

My sled didn't run very well at all during the whole event. Everyone I traveled with had a blast, and we all felt that this race was one of the best run and managed events we have ever been to- That is coming from 2 racers that have raced for 30 years each. We all had fun. Big thanks to Octane Addictions and all of the volunteers. Also a big thanks to the Kekich family for their help, as well as Brad Townsend. Thanks to the Golden West Motel, they support our sport.

Look forward to racing in Billings next year.

We had a great time too, well up untill I got put on the trailer by my buddy Tightfit. It's tough to beat a 350 pound pan sled with a one ton turbo. Hopefully next year the open mods will have their own classes so we don't have to race them with our mountain sleds, Ken.

It was good meeting all you snowesters there and at The Railyard. Made for some slower reaction times on Sunday though.
