1mex and I headed to Tony Grove saturday... Who's in?

Full tank Hector? Were you the :beer; and :camera: boy or did your sled break?:eek:

S.Diddy, I now understand why peeps Camo their sleds. If not for that black ski sticking up I never would have seen your sled in the tree's.:DLMAO

MORE PICS NEEDED.......................Gap? what GAP?????

Just plastic damage. The second cliff gap stuck is the worst i have ever seen. Sled was wedged between the cliff and a pine tree vertical facing straight down. had to hike down for the rescue from the top 50 yards or so to get to him. STEEP stuck. Ropes and straps and time. We saved it though!!!!

PS> Sled is running like new!!!

Nice pics, We got there at about noon Sat. Meyers made a few good marks with his new iq racer with 09 800 motor and 66 aero, but it was a short day. After about 10 pulls the aero fell on its face for some reason. Maybe to warm. We were back to the truck by 4:00 pm.

We met a few new faces. Nice to meet ya ArcticMat! Wish we could have caught up with a few more peeps on here! Maybe next time.

All in all, still a great day at Tony's!

He might fit in with our group pretty well!:D

I'm actually pretty excited. This was my 4 th time to ride Tony's and we didn't have to do a sled recovery the next day. Out of four rides there I have taken out two totaled sleds. One off of a cliff backwards and one hit a tree at 50+.:eek: My father-in-law got going a little fast and bailed. I do know one thing, two tie down straps work real good as motor mounts for a big tripple!:D

we were just glad he wasn't hurt. Was lucky the skie hugged the tree or it would of gone down 50+ also into a tree or the bottom 100' drop cliff. We had to do everything from going down ourselfs. berry steep and slick. Glad to hear you mad it out. Let us know when you want to ride Franklin next year. We are done for this one.:beer;

Where to start?:confused:
First, don't get mad... I screwed up the pics:mad:
Well, one came out good... The one my dad took of the poor little dragon tied to the tree.:eek:
Are you even 21 yet S.DIDDY?
I think you owe us some beers:beer;:beer;:beer;
Cliff pic hector posted, steves sled stopped just before going over the 40 foot cliff.(first incident)

If you look at hectors pic. "enough snow to ride" Steve was stuck just below the cliff at hectors feet... The bottom of the hill has another row of cliffs.
We had to traverse 100yards from an opening to get 2 him.
He couldn't get up around a tree and cliff and bailed.
Wedged the sled next to a tree and cliff on the spindle.
Sled pretty much verticle.
Tied the front to the tree and another rope to the rear bumper and swung the sled over the cliff onto a pad we dug.
Then lowered him 20-25 feet with makeshift ropes/tie downs to slow he descent and cut the rope.
Very lucky indeed... TWICE!
Like hector said, most of the day was spent rescuing S.Diddy.
Still a good time, could have been real ugly!

Yeah I def have to say thanks so much to hector, mike, and steve. They bailed my *** out twice in one day. I owe them for sure, and if they ever dare hanging out with me again I will surely owe them a ton of beers:beer;:beer;:beer;

I'd love it if you gave me some riding lessons, but every time we ride your sled seems to break or you crash really hard...lol....ouch:eek:

No worries steve:D
BTW, I have your straps... I put them under my seat and forgot till I got home.
Its not steves riding skills that are a problem, It is more of his line selection and (escape route) selection... I don't think he had a plan B or C... Just plan A.
Another part of the problem is that the snow sucked, climbing the hills was the only way to have a challenge.
Even in spring snow, there are some gooders up there.
I will invite you again steve.
If I bury my sled and just sit and watch you get it out for me, you will know why;)... Paybacks!... J/K... It happens to everyone... Just so happens that it happened to you TWICE that day.
I'm just glad you and your sled are in one piece.

Sounds like you guys had a hell of a ride up tonys. We had a hell of a weekend up in the uintas ridin sleds, 4 wheelers and got some trap shootin in to. We unloaded about a mile and a half past gold hill and for spring snow we had a great ride. Rode up to the scout camp and with alot of open water had a good ol time doin some water skippin. Only ran into 4 people all day. The wheater kind of sucked on sunday and we got rained on twice and had to take cover under the trees but near the end of the day it turned out nice. The ridin up there right now is mostly boondockin and water skippin, the rocks and trees are startin to show preety good on the hills.

Lol those weren't my straps. Maybe your dad or hector. I'll dig your sled out for you anytime. :D
