1989 sno scoot question

Doing some maintenance on the old Sno Scoot...
Does anyone know what oil and how much (i think 6 oz.) you put in the crankcase....and I'm assuming you fill it at the vent opening on the side.

Please help if u can....

I assume you mean gear case ???? It has a fill and drain bolt. The drain is on the bottom towards the back of the belt case. It is a 10mm. The fill is a larger bolt at the back of the belt case just in front of your left foot. Fill until it comes out of the fill bolt. It is roughly 250ml of 10-30/40 oil. Don't put oil in that side case vent or you will be pouring oil straight onto the belt. The oil is in a separate gear case just behind the secondary clutch.
