17s weak??

Check your engine mounts too. I am down on rpm as well. Started at right around 860 miles after my ring gear let go and took out the torque arm mount. There is a lot of movement in the mounts and there are gaps in some places between the mounts and the outer ring. They should be here this week so hopefully that fixes it...

Whats the best way to "check" motor mounts?

Torque arm a good investment?

Ive been following this thread. http://www.hardcoresledder.com/foru...m/1384321-fade-low-rpm-they-same-problem.html

Exactly the same symptoms as my sled and my mounts look even worse. There must be something wrong with these because the pto side mounts are backordered from the supplier. Polaris doesn't even have any left. I had to call around to find a dealer that had some in stock. Hope to have them this week to try it out again this weekend.
Missed a lot of riding this season because of this and sled was ripping before this happened.
I might also invest in a torque arm myself to see if the motor mounts will last a bit longer.

I tried the SLP torque arm on my 16 and it did nothing. Full clutch rebuild at 1000 miles or so helped some because one of the rollers was wearing into the clutch on one side. Still couldn't get it back after tps adjust and ecu reflash.
So I had the 17s primary narrowed up .020 which got the belt fitting right, it was very sloppy from Polaris. Put the SLP pipe on and still had to run 61 grams above 8500 to see 8450 rpm. I feel like that's 2 to 3 grams lighter than it should be. These things get weak in warm temps which is expected to some extent but it seems like the ecu doesn't compensate enough and they can really go flat at elevation and especially with elevation and warm spring temps.
Still had a blast Saturday though, awesome sled in so many ways.

Yanked my sled apart last night and checked TPS settings, things were definately a little out of whack, resetting it all tonight and putting it together to see how she goes this weekend.

So which aftermarket company is going to step up and make better motor mounts? (solid rubber?)

Those motor mounts looks alot like the ones on the older prorides?

Maybe one could use a set of those if in a crisis

Changed the motor mounts and put the old belt back on and bam!! Back to 8400!! Measured the old mounts and compared them to the new ones and there wasn't much difference but I guess the rubber in the old ones got too soft after they warm up so it caused the engine to move a lot more. Could also be something not right with the new belt that I installed but Im just glad to have it back the way it was. Cant wait to get out again tomorrow!!!

Wow. Surprised, awesome to know! Give that other belt a go too, just curious.

17-163/2.6 Riding @1-3K
SLP G/P Primary (Gained 200 RPM)
70g
GGB Can
Everything else stock
Turns 8500 @1K ride mostly at 2500k turns 8400
650 miles
This thing has been flawless, runs very strong. Could easily pull 72's
Blew stock belt at 480 miles, then replaced with the 115 which was working good but feels softer (slipping ) I do notice the motor mounts look like they are loosening up now....

Last ride of the season in 1 ft fresh on top of heavy packed at -1 and it was pulling close to full RPM .....
Crossing fingers I don't have the issues identified here....

Will clean power valves and order a set of mounts over the summer.

Friggin love this sled!
